Every generation I tend to like to try and complete the regional PokeDex for that game, and have been slowly doing so in Sun/Moon. I'm at 40% complete right now.

Is this something y'all like to do? Have you finished it already?

I've never actually completed a Pokedex :( I'm working on this one though. I have to take advantage of the fact there's not many in this 'dex compared to the total amount of Pokemon that exist. Gonna get that shiny charmm holla

I really want to complete the pokedex this time around, because there's a lot less than usual (since there's only a regional dex). I'm at 49% but I haven't really dedicated any time to it yet.

I want to get my hands on the shiny charm too, but I've reached a point where it's ridiculously hard to catch certain Pokemon's that only have a 10% spawn rate, sure is a challenge but with my luck, it takes forever!

I've actually been giving this a solid attempt in my current Sun playthrough. I'm still only on Akala island but I have pretty much caught almost every available Pok?mon to the point I'm at.

You know, I've never completed a Pok?dex before. But I think I'll try it with Sun and Moon, since the creators helped us by making us only complete the Regional Dex, which isn't as difficult as the National Dex! Even though I haven't finished the game yet (I just reached Konikoni city), I've been capturing a lot of Pokemon just to not have to much work to do after finishing the games. This way, I can save time XD It has been a lot of fun!

I caught a Feebas which only has 1% chance of spawning. Guess how much time I wasted?

I completed my dex a few weeks ago just prior to my week long battle of alola prep. I wanted to take my time playing through the main game so I caught everything as I approached it and traded with friends for the rest. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait for the national dex to be released (along with the poke bank) so I can finish up my national goal.

The fishing thing was made easier with the ripple ponds and just leaving and returning to the area. Tedious but doable.

Don't we all waste more time than we should...lol. Since Black and White I've completed the Pokedex but then again I've got a group of friends who all play so we just try and trade with each other for what we might need.

I just completed it today. :)

Normally I wouldn't bother because of all the legendaries and trade-while-holding-rare-item-to-evolve mons, but it wasn't as difficult in these games. I made extensive use of the GTS, first by putting up a Feebas holding the whatever scale and getting a Milotic and then by trading that Milotic for similarly rare mons like Magmortar, Porygon-Z, and so on.

I'd never completed a Pokédex in all my years of playing the game, I'm more into the battling side & exploring than filling it up. But I'm thinking about filling up the Alola Dex just for that shiny Charm ( and actually having a shot of completeing it + the Pokémon aren't half bad ;))

I have already completed the Alolan Pokédex, at least all 301 Pokémon excluding nummer 302, as it isn't available yet. With the help off the GTS it went really fast. Certainly Kangaskhan was difficult to get, with it's 1% change to see it in the wild, even with SOS call it's still rare.

Although I dislike the fact that the National Dex doesn't exist in Sun and Moon, I think it's much easier to complete the Regional Dex in Alola. I'm working on it right now.

I have already completed my collection of new Pokémon for my living dex. Just waiting for the PokéBank update to complete my regional Pokédex (and if there's an update for national dex for SuMo).

Definitely trying to get the Pokedex completed this time since I have never done it before. At 41% complete right now, GTS is coming in very handy

I caught all the new Pokémon and the Alolan variants, but I'm not gonna bother catching every last Pokémon this time. Between X and AS, I've already got every pre-Gen 7 'mon sitting pretty in my Bank, so I'll just send them over to Moon when that becomes available.

I enjoy completing the Pokedex, as I'm not that into battling. I completed the pokedex on Moon about 1 week after it came out. I also caught every Island Scan pokemon; so I have about ~400 pokemon in my PC. I've collected the remaining ~400 pokemon in my gen VI games, ready to be transferred up to complete the living dex.

After collecting 580+ Pokémon in Gen 6 I don't really feel a need to complete this Pokedex. I'm not really interested in the shiny charm in this game and with sos catching pokemon is infinitely harder so not really worth it.
