pokemon home support for dppt and pla

Said nothing further than 2022 thus far. Guesses six months to one year from Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl's release date for that. Presumes a similar timeframe for Legends: Arceus. Bases that on nothing, however.

Seemed very hesitant to allow transfers to games other than Sword/Shield. Ought to permit you to import Pokemon into Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, however. Calls it a core series game. Plays like Sword/Shield, unlike Legends: Arceus.

One-way from Legends: Arceus to Sword/Shield, but maybe two-way between BDSP and Sword/Shield. Remains pure conjecture, of course. Promised some kind of Home support eventually, at any rate.
no mass transfers from swsh to pla and bdsp then?

We don't really have details yet. The original date given for BDSP + HOME compatibility was this year, but who knows when we'll actually get it... can only wait and see. Was a little disappointing to begin with that it wasn't released as soon as the game came out so people can play with their favorites.

I can see HOME allowing transfers from Legends to BDSP/SwSh and vice versa, but yeah Legends is pretty different when it comes to stats/mechanics so I also wouldn't be surprised if it was one-way. But I think they can make the stats balance out when moved over if they do make it two-way.

I have already expressed my opinion on this on other posts and it hasn't changed at all. I think that HOME is going to be only one way to PLA, and I don't expect PLA pokemon to be available on Swo/Shi or on the remakes. Despite I'd love if PLA Pokemon stayed in PLA only, I highly doubt that. Imo, maybe in gen 9 they'll let us transfer PLA Pokemon to the new games.

I mean, with DLC we could theoretically get Hisuian Pokémon in BDSP or Sw/Sh (and there's thematic reason to add them to BDSP) but personally, I don't think it's very likely.

The PLA combat system is (from what I've been told) balanced differently, that'd require more work and just letting new Pokémon in could probably wreck the SwSh meta again.

I can see Home being the final sink for these games but only being accepted in Gen IX or future Legends games.

I wish this weren't the case, but I think you're right. In my mind SWSH are still the definitive games atm (since BDSP is a remake and Legends feels more like a spin-off), but I don't imagine we'll ever be seeing any Hisuian Pokemon in SWSH. It's possible, but unlikely imo.

Yes, Swo/Shi are still the "main games" atm. Indeed competitive is still there and they are the most "normal" pokemon games out there for now. However they have been around for quite much time and I don't see GF trying to renew them, that's y I am expecting gen 9 to be out soon. I m actually hoping for PLA DLC tbh, but gen 9 is near imo.
