Do you even have strength? If not, you need to go to the Game Corner, get more than 1000 coins and talk to the bald guy downstairs. It's still a Beta, so there are many movests to fix; and they also need to fix the genders, seeing a male Buttercup and a genderless Bluetite is weird.

For some reason, I absolutely cannot get this hack to work, I've tried repeatedly and every time it turns out the same, I get passed the opening then it blackscreens. :/

What did you use to patch it, make sure that the Fire Red ROM is 1.0 not 1.1 since it uses that as a base. Also double check if the Fire Red ROM already had progress on it. It needs to be a clean Fire Red ROM.

I've been using lunar ips and I've tried clean version 1.0 roms from multiple sources, all of them have resulted in the exact same outcome, black screen right after the opening video.

Welcome to Pokémon Sweet Version, where battles are carried out with the power of dessert! Travel through a confectionate wonderland that resembles Kanto but is quite different, as those who explore will soon discover! Capture 151 candified Pokémon and fill up the pages of your Cookbook! We've spared no expense in making the experience unique, which is why there is a brand-new type chart consisting of twelve flavors of ice cream. (Apple is totally a flavor of ice cream.) And if you're sick of Kanto, you'll be pleased to know this is totally not Kanto, no matter how much it seems to be. As the world is designed to reward exploration, there's something waiting in every map that may not have been there before, whether it's a cleverly hidden item or a dreadfully bad pun. (We have plenty of those.) The PokéSweets themselves are as delicious as they look, and they look good enough to eat!

-Apple replaced Steel, so you can't poison/starve/hunger/inflictdamageovertimedebuff Apples.
-Orange replaced Fire and Lemon replaced Electric. I don't know if that means much at the moment. They might be resistant to burn and paralysis, respectively.
-Sandstorm won't damage Apple, Cherry or Strawberry.
-Hail won't damage Grape, since it replaced Ice.

I had initially planned to wait until Channini finished up a few more graphics but I went ahead and decided to release this. I've been keeping it unreleased for too long, I feel. So, since we plan to add more in the future along with any bugfixes, it's a "Beta" for now.

This is awesome! This is prob my fave hack of all time! I like the idea of making it somewhat a fakemon hack but not really! And i LOVE the all the concept of this! But he could u PM me some textures (sprites) from the hack? Cuz i want to make a fan banner! TNX!

Then it may be your emulator. I'd see if anything is wrong with it.

I just finished the entire Cookbook and Elite/Pastriot Four and I really enjoyed the entire thing >w<

If you are still working on parts of the patch (which I kind of recomend because there are a few issues that occured now and then, although nothing really game breaking, except for one freak accident) let me know and I'll write out all of the wrinkles.

The freak accident was that one time out of possibly a hundred (maybe more because I spammed the hell out of it) when I left the Vanilla Dome the screen stayed black. Luckily I had saved just before hand so I didn't lose much, but it may have just been from me also abusing the speed-up button on the emulator.

Glitchs

Evolving Princplup to Emposh - evolving from level 59 to 60 caused a glitch where Emposh came out at lvl 69. Not that I'm complaining, but yeah~

Freezer Island - there is a boulder to the right on the first floor that will not drop down the whole. It will fall through but then (as soon as the character takes a step in any direction) the boulder will reappear back at its original location.

Text boxes - the people who will bake you Pokesweets - their text boxes will remain on screen until I leave the house should I say no to their request.

Invisible wall - South exit of Cake Tunnel, North of Candy Village
- From tunnel exit - seven steps to the right, face down.

Vague/Unclear Moments

No.102 Limeshroom - I got through the entire game without ever encountering a single opponent that had this PokeSweet. As such I had trouble actually finding it and thought it was something I had to get someone to bake for me. Maybe put it into an NPC's party team or place/edit an NPC saying something along the lines of "There is a rare keylime PokeSweet on the Banana Coast." I say 'rare' because no-one has the pre-evolution, they only ever had N0.103 Shroompie.

HM Strength - I've noticed a few people mention they had trouble finding the guy who had this HM. In fact, I was only able to find it, like Limeshroom, by looking here, to other people who have already asked. I had talked to guy but maybe get Dist or the actual NPC holding it to specifically mention he has a HM? Otherwise he's just like 'damn I need 1,000 coins...' and it never occured to me he'd have anything I'd really want (in fact I was thinking 'sucks to be you,' but it was near midnight and I'm an anti-social little thing at that time, even to NPCs).

Grapevine City PokeSweet Center - the NPCs inside refer to Team Sour as Team Rocket and Sweet Science as SILPH Co.

Pudding City - I found it a bit odd that there was a lady baking Rattatarts here. I understand if you want to leave it as a means of showing people "hey, go talk and explore or you'll miss PokeSweets," but I think it'll work a little better if it was a later game/'this-is-the-only-way-to-get-this-PokeSweet' type of deal.

Ginger Wood - I loved how you changed the Power Plant to a ginger bread village, I'm just hopeful that you'll make it a bit more interactive by being able to actually go into the houses or have it the homes of elite, end game trainers?

Chocobun - I'm a little worried I did a booboo here. I had already caught all of the PokeSweets in the Secret Cave by Orange City before speaking to Chocobun after the Pastriot Four. Was she actually meant to appear there and I've ruined the sequence?

Errors in Cookbook

Quite a lot of the PokeSweets have either broken, missing, or the wrong footprints but I've only mentioned those that also have something else I thought might be worthwhile pointing out. Please don't think I'm trying to be mean about the below suggestions, I'm just putting forward what I think may make the whole expereince more immersive.

N.009 - footprint - also, I don't think it makes very much sense for an apply pie to have candycane canons that also fire cupcakes (maybe if they instead fired pie filling, or something?)
N.011 - footprint - probably don't need the comma in its description either. Remove either the comma or the 'but'.
N.014 - footprint - I'd reword the description to "It's body contains cookie. It wears a (etc).
N.026 - footprint - end the description at 'soothing aroma.' Saying the word orange twice so closely can be off-putting and it kind of sounds like it goes against it's vanilla typing as well.
N.027 - footprint - maybe change description to "Often found in mounds of sugar, it covers itself in it to become fatter and therefore more filling."
N.028 - footprint - maybe change the description to "Its mango head is large enough..."
N.032 - description to "It likes to hide in/live in ice cream, as if it were a sundae."
N.040 - footprint - description to "... However, it cutely pounces/will cutely pounce on anyone that is ignoring it."
N.042 - footprint - description to "...Makes for a relaxing and tasty, but rather slow, ride..."
N.046 - description to "Fast and sharp attacks match its taste. It has a sweet lime flavour under its sour shell."
N.051 - footprint - description to "... You will see it unpeel to speak or eat."
N.060 - description to "... Has a strange taste to its chocolate."
N.068 - description is that of Machamp
N.073 - description to "... It can float on the milk ocean with ease."
N.082 - description to "Its upper body is covered in a grape coat."

N.101 - footprint - description to "According to urban legend it will explode upon being pelted apples. ..."

N.125 - footprint - description is that of Electabuzz - known as the ELECTRIC sweet.

N.134 - I feel like you're missing out on a better description here.
N.141 - description to "... Its blades can cut through even the hardest rock candies without difficulty.
N.146 - its sprite in the box and party team is that of Moltres.

It may seem like a lot for me to write about (and ther may be one or two minor little things that I've missed) but I think there is next to nothing wrong with this game as a whole - just patching up and cleaning of sprites, but even then I highly enjoyed the entire thing and I am so glad to have found it and that you and the rest of you team took the time to make it!
