Pokemon: Top Secret/Operative Version​

You are a 16 year old LegendLight trainee from the Orre division who has moved to the X region because your father has been transferred. He was a leading engineer in Orre, but now he's to help Prof. Thibault, the top engineer of Team LegendLight X division. Team LegendLight is a group of people who have been preventing The Legends of Darkness, a group of criminals, from capturing legendary Pokemon. You have been training to become a full fledged member for six years, but you couldn't obtain a Pokemon until now. You are to receive your first Pokemon from Profesor Thibault and go about completing minor missions. But there'll be obstacles and traps that will require badges and some surprises. The league is still, your rival is a fellow trainee, and there will be a third trainee. Profesor Thibault is the keeper of trainee Pokemon because your hometown, Mist Town, is a safe place.

I could use someone to help me with each category of hacking: mapping, scripting, etc. Especially spriting and scripting. I'm getting the hang of scripting, but I'm not a sprite artist, other than OW's.

You really need to work on your mapping skills. There are heaps of mapping mistakes in each map.

Your maps have serious errors. Try checking out the mapping tutorials.

When you want to take screenshots in AdvanceMap, just use the Print Screen function on your keyboard and paste and crop in paint.

I'm sorry to say that this needs more work. You should have done more work before posting this thread man.

you can also save maps in Advancemap by going to tools and Save map picture (you however need to change the format of the image from .dib to .png to upload. Just open in paint, go to save as and change it from Bitmap to PNG image

Erm.. You might wanna change that overworld sprite. It kinda looks umm weird. Also I'm sure everyone else has noticed that you have some tile errors in all of the maps. Try not to mix tiles just because they look cool :o. Other than that everything else looks ok.

But seriously, those tile errors hurts my eyes...

Ok, the map starts to look good. I like the tiny houses. But you have a slight error on the center house on the edges of the roof. But, at least it's getting better and better. Keep it up! You have my support. Au Revoir...

The waterfall in the first map looks like a drawing by Escher (the guy who draws all those famous impossible stairs and that stuff), but the fact that you took a photo of it with a camera and it even has angle amazes me more.

Well, practice makes perfection. You need a lot of practice. And perfection too.

It looks to me like you have some good ideas for maps, but appear to have mediocre mapping skills and no tile making skills at all. I suggest you work on those or find someone to do them for you.

The story looks fine from my perspective, but there are serious mapping errors in every screenshot. Hmm.....You need to improve, and I wish you the best of luck, cos you'll be needing it;)

Yes, I agree with EVERYONE that this has one of the worst maps... I think it's obvious, you can see that the tiles don't fit in the map correctly.
I guess this should go in the Scrapbox, maybe work on your mapping.

Please consider working on your maps. You have good ideas but poor taste.

I suggest playing some ROM hacks developed here, they will give you ideas and show you actually what people expect in a hack.
