Are there some popular games that just never interested you? And then had friends freak out and question your tastes?

I never had any interest in The Last of Us, nor Destiny, nor Final Fantasy VII and I get bored with fps and Zelda games and I'm pretty sure I have raised some eyebrows because of that.

League of Legends is a big one for me as pretty much 90% of my friends both online and real life play it, however none of my friends really questioned it/ freaked out - although they did try to get me into it once, I can't really say I enjoy MOBA's as much as they do.

Another is COD, and although I do play my share of FPS games like TF2 or L4D2 etc, it just never interested me.

There are a few others like Zelda and a couple of other childhood favourites that never interested me previously, but I guess that was more of me being heavily engrossed in Pokemon I just never really took up that interest when I was younger.

I was never really interested in Destiny or any of the newer CoD games, however I still play my fair share of MW2. I also have never really wanted to play a Zelda or Metroid game.

Personally, I never really gotten into DOtA, and the first person shooter games (except for Borderlands).

Its not because they're not good, its just, I never really saw the appeal; DOtA for example, I never really gotten really into the characters except for Windrunner who I gotten used to rather quickly, but otherwise, I didn't really do too much, haha. Maybe sometime I'll get back into it though and try new characters out when I have the chance?

FPS games I don't think I'll ever get into because they all feel so similar, haha. But we'll see when the time goes on~!

Pretty much any RTS game. Also never got into Assassin's Creed at all. I just can't.

What does RTS and FTS mean? So many abbreviations. x.x

Destiny (or really most FPS games), Grand Theft Auto, Super Smash Bros (that one in particular tends to get more than a few "What???" responses), and just about anything Naughty Dog made after Jak 3 I am not bitter, to name a few.

Cowadoody. I only play military shooters if they have extra flair, like Wolfenstein.

Also, I really wanted to get into Zelda, but just thinking about the many games I missed and need to play to keep up with the series makes me think "well, probably not".

The Zelda series and LoL as well as WoW. The Zelda series just wasn't appealing to me. I tried WoW and didn't get the hype and several people really try to recommend LoL to me but I never bothered to download it because I don't like the way the world is set up.

All these Zelda mentions make me sad, and pretty confused. If you have a 3DS you might as well just get Ocarina of Time and A Link Between Worlds. Best two Zelda games imo, and are a must own even if you're unfamiliar with the series. I wrote about A Link Between Worlds right here.
If you have both a 3DS and Wii U you'll practically have access to every single main Zelda game available. (Once Majora's Mask 3D releases)

As for my answer, the Souls series. More of a "not in a hurry to start them", though. I'll eventually get to it.

    Oh where do I begin.
After Battlefield 3, all recent military shooters bore the hell out of me.
    League of Legends
    Destiny
    Super Smash Bros
I'm just going to cut this list short and say pretty much most of the recent AAA games haven't interested me.

CoD and Battlefield are the two biggies. I used to be rather fond of Battlefield, but since 3 I can't help but feel they're trying to outdo CoD by actively trying to be CoD.
The only CoD game I've ever played was Black Ops (and even that was reluctantly) and I really can't understand all the fuss. Never again.

I can't really think of anything that really surprises people, I'll play just about anything given the chance. If it lacks an extensive singleplayer/(optionally multiplayer) campaign I'm not going to give two hoots about would be the general rule of thumb. Guess that makes the above make a lot of sense.

Mainly anything that has came out in 2010-present, with some exceptions.

Others that don't interest me: Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Super Smash Bros, Mother/Earthbound, Touhou and Fifa.

Most FPS games like Call of Duty, Destiny, Battlefield, and Halo don't interest me. I like third-person shooters though. I don't know exactly what I don't like, though. I'm fine with first person perspectives as I really enjoy Skyrim. I don't mind shooting either, since like I said, I enjoy third person. So...who knows haha.

I never got into the Metroid series very much either, though admittedly I just haven't had many opportunities and my sister's copy of Super Metroid is at my grandmother's and I haven't been there in a while.

Grand Theft Auto is probably the most obvious choice for me. Its brand of subject matter, "humor," and controversy for the sake of controversy just doesn't appeal to me in the least. Add in the fact that I'm not the biggest fan of open world games in general, and I've never had the urge to even try a game in that series.

    Grand Theft Auto.

Really the reasons for my lack of interest are the same as Morkula's, save for the open world part.
