Popular games that never interested you

I am interested by Nintendo (and a some xbox games) so I am not interested by
GTA and race/gun games or PC games.

So the nintendo series I never got interested to are..

Final Fantasy
Fire Emblem
starfox (never played)
Pikmin
F-zero

Of course there is other games I never really played, but I would like to :)

Most popular games and series don't really appeal to me, as I play very unpopular and/or niche JRPGs most of the time that the mainstream media ignores unless the opportunity to criticize is just too good to pass up (e.g. in the case of Hyperdimension Neptunia) so it's difficult to be specific. xD

A lot of these big-hitting so-called "AAA" games don't interest me, though. I do own The Last of Us on PS4 (the console came with it) and I've tried playing Assassin's Creed, but they just don't appeal to me. Call of Duty never interested me either. But then, Mario has never really done anything for me either. At least, not the 3D titles; I quite enjoyed Super Mario 3D Land. But I have an aversion to 3D versions of 2D games from my childhood for some reason; Zelda and Sonic fall under this as well, although I still love the 2D titles. Not sure if that'd count or not.

Any of the Telltale Games' "graphic adventure game." I'm sorry but that's not exactly the type of adventure game that I can take seriously :(

Call of Duty series and most of overly popular games on Steam, I won't say them one by one, because there's too much of them.

Like Zeffy (for ONCE I agree with him), I don't really like the "point and click" games from Telltale Games. I just don't see the fun in them :(

Despite my construably positive remarks on it, WoW has never interested me. Although "the cartoony graphics have aged well", to paraphrase Yahtzee, it's got an aesthetic (which seems to called 'generic fantasy' by now) that really doesn't appeal to me. The sheer ostentation of player characters' panoplies is... silly. I can look at barely any endgame characters in any MMORPG in the thinking that "I want to work toward that" because I just don't think it's awesome. The fanciest armour in any game that I actually really like would be Dark Souls' Elite Knight set, because it's actually heedful of realism, and because of that it manages to look way more classy than anything I've seen in an MMORPG.

So, fashion is the reason I'm not interested in WoW, and yet I play Monster Hunter? Well, no; WoW has a... feel to it. I'm not sure I want to bother expanding on my initial tangent about armour; suffice to say I just don't like the setting, I'm not interested in the lore, and that's a big thing for me.

Here's a funny one, too: DotA. Funny, because I actually find it very interesting on a competitive level and think it's a very well put together game for that kind of thing, I just don't want to play it, so I watch people like Purge instead of actually playing for myself. The main reason I stopped playing is actually not the game itself, but the poisonous community.

WoW and MMOs in general are another genre that I just can't get into. I tried playing WoW for no more than a few days several years ago and it just seemed like pure tedium. Go here, kill 5 of these, collect 10 of these, now go kill 20 more, now go take this to this person, etc. It was just busywork and felt more like a chore than a game.

Grand Theft Auto. I've had a tendency of buying the games, putting maybe an hour into them, and then shelving them for good. I thought GTAV would have a better impCt on me but gotta say, I just couldn't get into it.

Ooh, a lot of games can fall into this category for me. Any FPS, most MMO's, and just about every new game. The list would be shorter if I said which popular games I was actually into, haha.

Mass Effect. I love Dragon Age, I think that Bioware are a fantastic developer but...I just can't seem to get myself into Mass Effect, even though I really want to since all my friends rave about it so frequently.

Seeing all these people not into Zelda or Super Smash Bros makes me angry for some reason.

I kind of missed out on RTS games, though, except for Age of Empires.

I couldn't get into the CoD series when I tried it and none of them interest me since the online experience seems to be the same as each previous edition, just different/updated guns and maps.

The same goes for Destiny, all that hype for it and what I have seen for it is mediocre gameplay and review wise

when i bought gta v earlier in the year i played it for maybe a half hour and got frustrated/bored and just put it aside
i thought it would be the game of the millennium but i bought it about 6 months after everyone else and just didn't get into it i guess
it was disappointing

but as for popular games/series that i've never as much as tried, there's battlefield, league of legends, dota, wow, mass effect, etc
far cry interests me but not to the point where i actually want to buy it
most nintendo franchises don't hold much interest for me tbh, the first time i played a legend of zelda game was on an n64 emulator and it was majora's mask (which i still have somewhere on my laptop) and i just didn't stick with it past being freed from deku form

i tend to be a final fantasy junkie and willing to mindlessly grind while watching a sitcom or something in the background, so i'm surprised by the lack of interest from many posters in regards to the series
but i did say i had to have something else to pique my interest while i was grinding so i get why the whole idea of it just puts people off completely

but in general i stay away from mmos
never gave one shit about wow, league of legends is a pet hate that my friends all know well and dota... i have even less interest in that than both wow and lol

Ya know, I think that's there's a lot of popular series/games that I never got into/never got interested.

GTA, like every MMORPG, Final Fantasy (I really do not like the series's general hybrid real-time/turn-based battle system), Battlefield, any racing thing not named Mario Kart, Pikmin, Ratchet&Clank (I think that was popular, right?), DotA and League of Legends, Kirby, The Sims, Titanfall, Castlevania, Tomb Raider.....uh, there's probably more that I'm not remembering.

Well, aside from the obvious CoD.

I'm not into most FPS games unless they have a really involved story, like BioShock is one of my all-time favorite games despite being a FPS.

Aside from that, all of Nintendo's stuff is pretty boring imo - with the exception of Pokémon, obviously lol, and Super Mario Bros. on the SNES.
