I have been thinking that the games COULD, (not making any bets), be released on November 21, since the originals were released on that day in 2002. Like I said, this is a speculation, which will most likely be proven wrong.
If you have any ideas of a possible release date, feel free to post.

    Late twenties for christmas sales

In Mexico, there is a video game shop called Game Planet where you can already pre-order the games and in its website you can find the following release date:

    [PokeCommunity.com] Possible release date.

Although I'm not sure if it is the real date or not, it may be just a "worst case scenario" release date.

    Lol @ the price.

    I'm guessing a release around 15-20 November.

They better release it in the first 10 days of November...

I'm hoping that might be the case cos otherwise it would be too close to the Christmas rush, but I'm expecting the day to be a Saturday like what happened with X and Y last year. It seems like one of the less busy days which would be fitting.

So yeah, not too early but not too late would be my thoughts. It has to be just right.

Nah the release dates game stores have are always placeholders. They're estimates but they don't really hold any water and usually aren't the actual release date. Only trust the store release dates after it's officially announced.

But yeah I think probably the 21st, since it's the anniversary date and otherwise I don't see why else they would release then (October/September has been a recent pattern soooo). If not then there will be some event in game for it imo.

I think I can see where you're going here, the 21st was the release date of the originals (well, at least in Japan that is) so I guess they might plan to release it on what will be the original Ruby/Sapphire's 12th anniversary.

And yeah I have noticed that, as far as Japan is concerned a lot of Pokemon games seem to get released in September and October if most of the last few games between R/S and now are anything to go by.

Anytime in November. That's all the information they gave on Pokémon.com again, and this is supposed to be another worldwide release like X/Y (at least according to the video they linked to on their FB page). Suffice it to say, mid-November seems most realistic. They've actually been releasing the games in October the past two years (for the US anyways), so putting it off by one month makes a little sense since Christmastime is a big shopping season in the States.

It's very likely that the release date could be the 21st, not only does that fall on the anniversary but it falls on a Friday which is a common mainstream game release day.

It will release with one of three days.

    Sunday, Tuesday and Fridays.

Tuesdays are normal release days for all companies. Nintendo and Sony have been having a lot of Friday releases lately so its not out of the question. Sunday releases have slowed down to a crawl but its an old standard release date so still possible.

So we have Sunday November 2nd, Tuesday November 4th, Friday November 7th, Sunday November 9th, Tuesday November 11th, Friday November 14th, Sunday November 16th, Tuesday November 18th, Friday November 21st, Sunday November 23rd, Tuesday November 25th, and Sunday November 30th.

Sales wise, the best dates to release are Sunday the 16th or Tuesday the 18th, the week before Black Friday. This gives all stores a chance to run ads and promote sales for the items. Hardly anything new ever comes out on the week of Black friday so we can exclude 23rd and 25th. For a safety mark they may release on the 30th after black friday if they feel that they cannot make the sales demand which many games never do.

So for optimum sales, November 16th is a good realistic date. Its a full week before black friday's sales. Gives a week to stock as well as run an ad for them. A week before that is also good so starting on the 9th is a safe guess as well. If they want to really just get numbers, as early as November 2nd is possible, but the best dates are between the 16th and the 21st with the 16th being the best for potential sales.

Nintendo's more common release days are Sunday and Tuesday. Friday releases are actually not that common.

This week, I think there are 4 games coming out tomorrow and only one game coming out this Friday. Minecraft physical copy for the PS3 is all I've seen coming out this friday in my store. The games that get Friday releases usually aren't large title games either. Friday releases are "ghost" releases. People don't realize the games were released.

Oh I see. Most games that are heavily advertised or seem to have a large audience tend to release on Fridays here in the UK, infact prior to the simultaneous international release of X & Y, all of the games before those two were released on a Friday. I'm not sure if a global release changes that since X & Y were released on a Saturday but I still think it's likely that we could get a Friday release.

I think I read somewhere that it'll be the 14th... it may have been a mistake on the site's part though. I think it should be released before Black friday but close. I would like to play them during Thankgiving week here in the states as I'll have no school that week. I tend to get too into something and forget everything else...so a vacation will make sure that doesn't happen.

As much as I hope they're released on November 4th (which would make sense, it's a Tuesday and that's usually when they stock games), I doubt it will be that early into the month. I'm thinking mid to late November, for Christmas sales and...okay wow, saying that makes me realize we have to wait til near Christmas for these games...it feels like it was just Christmas.

I need a moment. Sorry. Bye. lol

@ Jak You're right, it feels like only awhile ago it was Christmas, and PokéBank was delayed soon after...

I hope that the game doesn't sell out if they wait until the holiday sales... Please be the week before Black Friday here...

Selfish, but I'm hoping for November 4th because that's my anniversary. XD My boyfriend and I want to buy each other a copy of the game. But we're excited either way. I'm banking on what Kryhsta said as well, though I think November 21 would be a neat way to coincide with the original release. I'm thinking the dates Kryhsta mentioned and November 21st are the most likely. But that's just me. And I'd still prefer November 4th. :P It's early in November as well, so less waiting!

I think I'll go with the others with November 21st being the release date. Or they'll just do a Saturday and go with November 22nd.

However, I also have this selfish request that it'll be at either November 29th or November 5th.
November 5th because it's my one-year anniversary of owning Pokemon Y (haha).
    November 29th because... it's my Milotic's birthday. P:

I don't think Nintendo puts much weight on November 21st as the anniversary of the original games' release. They probably care more about releasing it on a day that gives them the statistical advantage, and so that's what they'll go with. Khrysta's logic is hard not to agree with, and so I'm hoping that the 16th is close to what the official date is. Not too late into the month, so saying 'November' didn't trick us into getting excited early when in reality it's actually a day before December, haha.

This is probably the closest any Pokemon Games have been released to Christmas time, that is assuming these games are released in the second half of November. Sure is going to feel magical around that time what with the release of ORAS and then Christmas to follow.
