Why is there a week between the Japanese/NA and European release? What difference does a week make... seriously...

I can't wait that extra week! :D

Don't worry. We'll receive the rejects via Wonder Trade.

But read above. Japanese doesn't have the November 21 bit with the anniversary. We do.

will these games be released in the eShop service?

They still havn't told anything about it.

Last time I received X half a week early and enjoyed being one of the first to play it and post online about it! :(

What's a 'gimme', I still don't get it. :(

That is a given.

For the other post, a "gimme" is something that is so blatantly obvious that it has to be so. The term also comes from golf, where sometimes a ball within two feet of the hole might be picked up and scored without putting it in as a "gimme".

I'll just let the game ship from North-America, I can at least play the game before it launches in Europe. Worldwide my a**.

There is a possiblity that these games won't be in the eShop? They might loss serious amount of money if not. I hope they will release it there.

I feel for you in Europe. Wonder why the delay? I was about to say that it could be due to the many languages, but they will probably have the choose the language feature from XY which we had in Japan and North America too...
I think there might have been something that would've caused it...maybe in order to not break the e-shop again? After all it is near the holiday season. Japan and North America are generally seen as the major markets, so they might've seen Europe as disposable. Though they may also have pushed Australia's date back too as we don't know anything about them. Perhaps it'll be the 28th too.

Yeah it'll probably be the E-Shop thing. I don't want to have another December 2013 issue. But still though, it's just dissapointing. I want to play the game simultaneously with North-America and Japan :(

And I wanted to play simultaneously with you Europeans too :( . Now to see if the Aussies get the same release date as Europe, or us, or some date in between (I don't think they'll do December).

What do you mean by "not break the e-shop again"?

There were so many People on during the initial release of Pokemon Bank that they had to delay it. It's possible that they expect the release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire to crash the e-shop again as probably a lot of people will be getting a digital copy rather than a physical copy.

I'm a little upset over the day being a friday (I have school that day), but after hearing what Europe has to endure my few hours of potential wait are nothing.

But people from europe can get the American console and play the game on 21st Nov, right? I wouldn't be surprised if they'll try to banish this possibility as well by making the e-shop's american release date a days later, like, 25th november or something.

Yeah, they should be able to. Delaying a e-shop release while not doing so for the physical release is rare these days, but it is a possiblity.

This is one of their flagship brands. They want you at the midnight release event, NOT on the Internet!

Also, MK8 took over an hour for folks to download on Wii U when it came out. Makes more sense to delay EShop.

I really don't think "worldwide" really meant it would release on the same day in every county. Some set countries didn't get X and Y on the same day. I just think it means around the same time. At least there isn't a 3-6 month delay like the earlier games. I can understand why people in Europe hate the delay though cause that means we Americans can experience the game first. :P And a friends of mine from Europe also was upset because it mean that he can't get into the competitive battling scene right away and he has to catch up.

I get why they choose the date they did though since it's the 12 anniversary of the Japanese release for the original games. Perfect date to get them.

Usually it's taken to mean the same day. The fact that XY were the same day (discounting the leaked/early copies) added to the idea that it'll be the same day :(
