The fact that they haven't said anything about the e-shop till now says something isn't it? or they still might tell us about the release there later?
I really can't find a source from Nintendo stating Europe's release date, but there are some articles from gaming websites, dunno if that matters. :X Poor Europe. :(
Wait a second. They banned Voltorb Flip? I mean, it was a crappy game anyway, but they BANNED that? Even in America, where they were stupid enough to ban online gambling for a long time, they kept it in the video games because they allowed free play sites. Which I still thought was stupid. We won't go into that discussion here.Interesting topic you've brought up there, but I know that Unova and Kalos had no Game Corner at all, most likely to do with the same European anti-gambling law that made the slot machines in European Platinum unplayable and the Voltorb Flip in all non-Japanese HeartGold and SoulSilver.
I could insert a "Brits Problems" or "UK Problems" joke here, but I'll let a Brit do it.but the UK's primary language IS English, the language even originates FROM England, so we too have to suffer the delay, just so they can translate the game for other European countries? :( :(

It's also entirely possible that they just did market research and found that games sell better on the 28th in Europe for some arbitrary reason.
Ah, my bad.You misunderstood. I was meaning the anti-gambling laws was the reason why Voltorb Flip replaced slot machines in the non-Japanese HG/SS.
Interesting. I wonder what the number 28 has to do with Europeans?
Ah, my bad.
But yes, it was a crummy sidegame. Why did Canada have to suffer?
It might have some impact (certain days do better in different countries I believe... but that's more days of a week, and some countries aim for releases on a specific day too - Australia typically had Pokémon releases on Thursdays). But the exact week offset doesn't match that, and given it is Pokémon I'd say it's less to try and make as many sales, as Pokémon is generally just going to sell well anyway. That alone wouldn't explain the delay for Europe (and maybe Australia + others).I don't necessarily mean that the number 28 itself is significant, but that there's some marketing reason for it. For example, my sister worked a fast food restaurant. If that restaurant had moved half a mile down the road, it would have gone from bustling to empty...because it would have gone out of walking distance of the local university. One week could be significant, even if it's "marketing has shown us that November 28th sells better than the 21st in Europe."
I think it's a safe assumption that it would be released on the eshop on the same day; not sure why it wouldn't. Hasn't affected other releases staggered depending on country after all.The big question is still whether the games will be released on nov.21 in American's e-shop or not. This is the biggest question.
Except Canada should be getting it the same as the US from my understanding. Even if it is a significant reason, it may well be more a 'well we don't want to risk such a thing again' less than a 'we're punishing all of you for this even if you weren't part of the problem' deal. They already have a way to punish stores which broke street dates as well, and that's through fines (they likely have contracts dealing with these sorts of things too with penalties for parts that are broken).I wonder if my guess that it's to punish Europe( well Italy at least did) and Canada for breaking the street date on XY will be correct... I know I expected some kind of punishment for them, but a week delay is kind of harsh considering not all parts did it...
I hope that it's because of restoring the Game Corner for us in JP, NA (at least America since we don't know what's going on with Canada yet), and Aus to enjoy in our copies instead :3
Just be happy you guys know when it gets released in Europe and America. There isn't a date for Canada for some reason.
Let us hope Canadians don't get it on the 30th...that'll be a full 9 days after us and 2 days after Europe.
Canada is usually the same day as America. Think about it; we can drive across a bridge and pick it up anyway. For less money, too. It'll be the same day, the 21st.Just be happy you guys know when it gets released in Europe and America. There isn't a date for Canada for some reason.
