Another one of the new features X and Y introduced was the PR Video. There's a studio in Lumiose City on South Boulevard where you can film these videos. Did ya ever make one (and share it)? Ever seen someone else's? Anything you wanna say about it at all?

I actually spent a fair bit of time on my own one, even went through the trouble of getting all the animations to perfect it. I think its pretty nippy, but then again I'm the one who made it so of course I'd think that :)

I did find myself exploring the feature a bit, but sadly, I was never able to get into the whole thing. Due to that, I... wasn't able to make much videos at all, haha.

I never really cared for this feature much, it wasn't really much fun for me. Not something that I would find too enjoyable, but I may have to play around with it again sometime.

It's a really cool feature, although I wish they expanded upon it a little more with extra features to work with. I made two PR videos, the first (and my main one) is pretty much introducing me and my Sylveon and showing that I don't ever mess around! My second PR video is pretty much making an epic introduction and using epic music while having a sea as the background and raining all throughout just to introduce my Blastoise whose name is "Neptune" (this video is all about him since I'm nowhere in that PR video).

Never looked at mine (past the first time), and never watched anyone elses. I honestly feel it was a completely wasteful section of the game that needs to be removed.

So you never watched anyone else's and only saw your own once and deemed that it was a totally worthless part of the game even though in your own words you never actually used it. That's like saying since you saw someone's explanation of the Friend Safari on gamefaqs and then without using it yourself deemed that a worthless part of the game too

I actually enjoy it! It gets especially fun once you start unlocking phrases and all the extra stuff, but I feel they give you quite a bit to start with when you first arrive in Lumiose. I don't really play around with it often, but when I do, I can spend forever on one video tweaking it just the way I like it.

No, there just isn't much to it. It's not like a lab experiment that had 18 different variables to choose and look at. It was basic, simple, and really lackluster. It just didn't do anything for the game; and I mean that in the development standpoint.. it neither helped, nor hurt the growth of the game outside of being a pseudo-novelty that you LOOK at. That's what we call a waste of development time that could've been directed elsewhere towards functionality... and let's be honest - there was a LOT of work left over to do in this past generation. It wasn't bad, but it was far from perfect.

I did use this feature a few times, and sometimes my videos turned out pretty weird. But experimenting with them was the really fun part, in fact I did make a fun one months back which focused a lot on my beloved River Pattern Vivillon who of course was a really strong team member for me in the early part of the game.

I made one a whole back, with my Raichu. I will also watch the videos of others (whenever I find someone's avatar to be interesting looking). Many people seem to have a video.
When I first took a look at the video option I was actually somewhat surprised about all the options. More choice than I thought we would have.
So, yes, I do like that feature.

I absolutely loved this feature! It's fun, and makes me a bit more unique. Spent quite a while working on my videos, syncing the actions to the music the best I could and all that. I was really sad when I used up all my slots, though, and I haven't made more after that because I didn't want to delete the ones I already made. So, I didn't really get to try it out with the new phrases I unlocked later on. D: In fact, my message on the PSS is "want video space." >_<

So I got around to playing a bit with PR videos the other day. I was a bit surprised at the number of options for special effects and camera angles and whatnot. You can even put on make-up, which was unexpected. I knew next to nothing about PR Videos before; I had only gone in there once before, months ago, and that was only to grab the colored contacts so I could change my eye color.

I do wish that the caption options were a bit more varied though; they all seem like introductory and/or boasting phrases. Kinda limits what you can do, imo.

Hands down one of my favourite features of the 6th gen games :)

I'm not gonna lie, the first time I visited Lumiose and all I'd been able to change at that point was my hat and I opted for the option to let the guy in the PR studio make a vid for me, I wasn't overly impressed to be honest.

However!! :) Once I went back after having completed the game and with nothing much else to do, I decided to make a video from scratch and oh. my. word!! It was SO much fun to tinker with, so many options and different backgrounds and music to put together that by the time the finished product came about I was beaming with pride haha :) I get WAY more excited than I probably should when someone asks to see it lol xD

I tried it the first time I got to luminoise city and made a video, but since then I haven't done or watched another one. You know what would have been cool?, that you could use your PR video as an introductory video for your opponents in wi-fi battles. Since it only lasts 10 seconds it wouldn't be annoying.

I agree! Even if you didn't want to see the videos you could turn them off. They're fun by themselves, but they would have been more useful that way.

Yeah that would be awesome. Hardly anyone ever checked out my videos. If you make a good one, you want people to see it, right?

That doesn't sound like a bad idea, so long as they have the option to not see the videos as well.

It also would've been good if they didn't make it so that you have to ask permission to see someone's video. I'd assume that since you made one and made it public, that you'd what people to see it, right? And having to request to see the video instead of just being able to view it when you tap on the person's PR Video button in the PSS is probably why there's not a ton of people into the videos.
