6th Gen Pre-order or eShop?

I can't understand why the European eShop releases games only a few days after the American eShop. There are so many people in Europe/Asia that can't buy games on the day it comes in US.

But does that mean that X and Y will be released on the European eShop only after a few days, and not on the 12th?

That is a long five days. He will have to use the internet eventually and go on youtube and he will see all the videos all the pictures. He does not want to ruin it for himself. So I say he just hits the Return Pre-order button and go to the Closest of the list. Walmart Gamestop etc.

They wont that would cause a lot of bootleged games thus making them lose profit.

No way bro if they make so you can only transfer once and make you pay $20 bucks for the card your paying $39.99 plus $19.99

Even if they do transfer( it wouldn't be a copy) it many other people it's no different than lending out a regular copy

I thought that was due to Europe having later release dates than us...hopefully it's up by the 12th for you guys...I don't know why they wouldn't...

If I were to buy the game right now, I would rather pre-order it at a local GameStop or Best Buy. I'm still not too fond of downloading the game from an online store as I'm extremely paranoid that I may lose the whole game due to a technical error.

I'm not getting the game now though. Sometime later after the release.

It should definitely be up on the EU E-Shop on the 12th, there is absolutely no reason for it not being up then. After all it is a global release.

Though I am also worried about there being no X&Y listings on the EU E-Shop...

I pre-ordered both but now that I know about Pokemon Bank I might just download Y after I buy X. It's convenient to have both of them on one console so I don't have to bring a game case when I bring my 3DS out with me.

I'm paranoid about downloading games. I've preordered a hard copy, and I get a neat pokeball cartridge holder anyway so it's awesome. :3

I wouldn't be worried about it. You can back up the SD card on your computer, that's what is so great about the 3DS.

And if anything happens that is outside the usual scenario (i.e. not a console upgrade or accidentally deleting something), you can call Nintendo and they will most likely be able to help you out.

Also once you buy one game online, you kinda get hooked, cause it's sooooo convenient. You can swap in another game, but you'll always have the game you downloaded on your 3DS regardless of the game you have in the cartridge slot.

eShop. I don't need the boxes for this game, it was different when I was younger but now I just don't care all that much about the boxes.

Changed my mind and decided to pre-order since my local Gamestop is doing a midnight release. Figure I can make some new friends among fellow Pokemon fans and exchange some friend codes, that's worth the trip for me.

Finally got our pre-order cards in at work so I put in a pre-order for both copies. Now to pray every night that I'm off next Saturday.

For now amazon say between 17 to 18 october. But they can ship it and I could get it early. It took me 1 day between my order and delivery for my 3DS when they said it would take 3-4 days.

I know I'm asking this again, but has someone (from Europe) ever checked if a 3ds game that was released to retail on the same day in US and EU, was also added to the European eShop at the same day? Because many people are not sure if X/Y will be on the European eShop at the same day.

I guess I'll go ahead and answer the OP here and say that i am getting a physical copy of Y when that comes out on October 12th.. I pre-ordered it just to secure a copy of the game should a sellout occur (which I know shouldn't happen, but still..), and I chose to go with a physical copy of the game instead of e-Shop should I change my 3DS XL out for something or if the 3DS XL's memory/SD card becomes corrupt. And I also don't want to waste space on my SD card either for memory of the game, too.

I didn't found official statement, but in his interviews, masuda keep talking about the fact that everyone around the world will start the game at the same time.
Even though it the fact their is nothing about the games in the eshop seems weird to me, really hope that it will be released in the 12th like it should be.

I found out that not all games come out at midnight in the e-shop...so I'll proably wait and see if my pre-order arrives. Though I don't believe there's mail on saturday...sure hope it comes a day early if so...

Well pokemon isn't like the other games . Their is a 99.99% chance that it will come out at midnight
