Leaders/E4 using Pokemon whose Megas change to a different type, yes or no?

I have a question about challenger teams. If we're meant to use only the one team of six pokemon to defeat all the trainers, what happens when we can't beat someone? If we have to change members of our teams to beat that specific trainer, do we have to restart our league challenge from the first gym?

Mmm, I wanna say yeah, because there wouldn't ever really be any backwards progress if you didn't restart when you lost. This goes back to balancing challenger vs league though - the challenger is locked into 6 pokemon they have to use against many opponents, which balances with each of the Leaders using only 1 type - bar the champion. :P I mean that sounds like advantage/disadvantage to both, right?

Yeah, nobody's locked into anything yet, g'head and change it up if you wanna. The only real thing for the qualifiers is no foul play by rules of banned stuff and mascot legends. Changing your team up between battles though, by all means mate.

I won the singles match but he beat me in the doubles...If we have to break the tie then can somebody flip a coin to decide what kind of battle we do? Heads: I pick. Tails: he picks.
 
Hangon Fokko :P Do you normally do doubles or singles? I think neither you or blueboi has won yet against one another, since you both have 1 match a piece. And you and I have only done singles, if you beat me in doubles, we'll be tied too, if I beat you in doubles - that's my win for qualifiers lol.

Iiiii only do doubles, but I'm kinda doing one of each since a number of people here only do singles. I'll play you in both though after this second match with Fokko / Jr - ?

Mmmmm - narrowly defeated Jr / Fokko in singles, had a connection issue on the final 2 pokemon in doubles, not sure if he wants to replay that battle right now or not... :I

Gimme 3 minutes to see if he'll accept my challenge again, if not we can go.
