Are badges for elite four members a possibility? Sounds like a cool idea (:

On other leagues they have them but are called "symbols", so we could have that

I like it. Calling it something besides a badge is an enticing possibility.

Also Cyclone, the time has come mate. Dark and ____ ? We're about to hit a huge progress boon if we move quickly on these next few. We're moving back into more active member's territory.

All right, give me 15, maybe 30 minutes to weigh the options. I may not even take 15.

I was leaning towards Psychic. This just became difficult.

EDIT: All right. I believe I'm between Fighting and Fairy.

Pros of Fighting: it was not being selected in the first round, so it would make me unique. It also gives me Psychic options like Gallade and Medicham, with a Mega option for Medicham (so I don't have to necessarily use Absol); of course. The con is that going for one of those, while it directly counters Psychic types going after my Dark Gym, keeps me still weak to Fairy types. I trained two Azumarill; I know they are good team members.

That's what has me leaning to Fairy. It directly counters popular Dragon types. There are two Steel/Fairy types, which directly counters pure Fairy types and some dual-typed with that. The con: it's weak to Poison, and with Dark and Fairy types I am finding I'll have practically no Poison coverage (I'll research this further) for either of my types. Having Mawile or Klefki also gives me Steel as a secondary...which is why I then look at Steel type, which my Pawniard will already have and I can throw in either another Dark or Steel type. Sadly, Steel was chosen.

As much as I would like a Gallade on my team, I think I have to look at having a Steel/Fairy type on my team ([Mega] Mawile or Klefki).

Seeking quick advice here. What do you guys think goes with Dark type best? Fighting, Fairy, or something else?

Flip a coin. I'd prefer Fairy, though.

Yeah, I just reviewed Fighting again. It's weak to Fairy. I need to think about my Defense just as much as my offense, and while the selection is limited (I'll likely have Azumarill and Mawile in there), I can still cover four Dark types and later add a third Fairy if I find it too much.

All right. I never imagined I'd ever select to have a team that revolved around Fairy types, but with a 4:2 arrangement I think it's doable. Mega Mawile is an option, and Azumarill is the only double Hall of Famer I have.

Fairy will be my supporting type. Might even be better than Psychic for me.

1st: Exile - Steel
2nd: Euphoric - Dragon
3rd: Polar Spectrum - Flying
4th: Zekrom - Fire
5th: Charizard Man - Ground
6th: TGM - Water

8th: Cyclone - Dark/Fairy
9th: enigma - Fairy/Steel
10th: BlueBoi - Ice (second skipped)
11th: AdamEternal - Electric/Psychic
12th: Falkbalk - Rock (second skipped)
13th: Ultraviolence - Bug/Water

someone quote this message when its my turn please
Gooooo...

I just noticed something. Polar, Zekrom, we have two Gyms that are Electric and Psychic. This is a problem.

We kinda had to expect that that would happen with this though. There's 15 of us, each picking two types, but there's only 18 in the game, so.....

It's not a huge problem if there happens to be just 2 Gym Leaders with the same types. The fortunate thing here is that Adam and Ozy are in different divisions, and you picking Fairy means that we won't have 2 Steel/Fairy E4 members in the Showdown half.

Sucks for Exile though, he really wanted Fairy for his second type.

Edit: whoooops, that post took a long time to come through.

So we do have at least 2 or 3 of the next people in line through PM priority lists, right Zekrom?

TGM, Charizard, and you should be easy to get down fast. :I

Well, the other options I considered got picked (and those skips worked in my favour, Fairy might have been gone as well). I had to pick the best option left to cover my team.

Bugs will be a problem. There will be Fire moves sprinked throughout my team. Flamethrower and perhaps Fire Blast.

I highly doubt we will deal with challengers that have a scizor, pinsir or heracross lol.

Im glad to see that the list is moving now.

Hence the term "sprinkled". I'm not giving a Fire move to everybody. But if a Bug comes out, if I can't KO it, the next thing out will have Fire.

I looked up a Froakie breeding guide. There are 37 responses to this. I might seek advice here (in the main forum area for this section) as to what the best options are on there.

This just in from outside the thread. Mega Mawile might be the next Mega to be banned.

Are people going to try to get every single Mega banned now? I was just starting to consider it for my team, too; now I either have to use Klefki or use old-fashioned methods.

Of course, if I use Mega Absol anyway, it's irrelevant.

Hehehe

Anywayyys, so once we have the gym types done, what comes next?
All participants will be grouped and engulfed in a ring of fire. The last four standing become the Elite Fou-...wait, we already have that. Moving on...

I'm starting to look at Togekiss now that the Mega Mawile ban is rumoured. I might need move coverage. At least it can learn Steel Wing.
