Yes; please god yes. I'd prefer if we were all (or at least mostly) in contact outside of PC. That'd greatly improve communication, and response times to things like PICKING OUR GYM TYPES. lol

But yes please - anyone who wants to add me on Skype, my skype name is "ConneryPony" it'll show up as Polar Spectrum when you add me.

I choose to withhold my anti-smogon rants, but I'd wager dollars to donuts that Mega Mawile joins Kanga, Lucario, Gengar, Aegislash, and whomever else has recently been inducted into that over-abused hall of fame this gen already.

Um, I'm thinking after we have gym types, we put up the prototype OP in the new thread with the joint account, and we do beta testing or whatever anyone wants to call it. Should be up by the weekend, hopefully. SO THAT MEANS YOU GUYS - FLIPPIN WATCH YOUR SH*T THIS COMING WEEKEND. Or at least like check up on it or something ;-; Pls


Also, Wolf was kind enough to take out the old Poll for types, which became redundant anyways once we decided on dual type gyms - but we need Adam to actually reinstate the poll. So that'll probably happen tomorrow, when he's allowed on the computer again. I'mma PM him the poll question and choices.

WE DID IT. We all lived through this drafting ordeal. Now, correct this if it's wrong, based on who went in which order and wanted which type. These were all based off the PM's you sent to Zekrom earlier, and which types were available according to each of your preferences.

SO ASSUMING THAT WORKS; everybody please confirm. Do we have our typings?

Not gonna lie, i really wanted ground, because my whole obsession is polar opposites, and contrast, and things like that- and Flying and Ground almost perfectly cover each other's weaknesses offensively and defensively in addition to being opposites of one another. Coulda been Polar; the sky and earth guy ;-;7 But alas; I'll be the flying and fighting guy instead. Punching birds and ♥♥♥♥. This works for meeeee.
 
After being reminded via a VM that Bisharp is Steel, I feel better about my Fairy selection. Whew.

Yeah, you're dark and fairy right? That's a pretty potent type combination :U Wish they'd make a dark fairy pokemon. Man, you got luck y though. Those are both really attractive options.

i) can league members switch teams/pokemon at will, or are they restraint to one team only?

ii) what pokemon are league members allowed to use besides cover legendaries and ubers? are pseudo legendaries (eg heatran, landorus, etc) allowed?

sorry for asking, thread is really bulky so meh, lazy to look back :/

From my understanding at the moment we are following Smogon X/Y OU rules which, to answer your question, means only Pokemon listed as Uber are off limits. Meaning those like Heatran and Landorus are allowed

I believe we decided that league members can switch their teams up whenever they want, so long as they adhere to their types and don't try to counter-team challengers.

All the banned Pokemon are on this list: https://www.smogon.com/dex/xy/tags/uber

Everything else is usable.


I'll throw my 2 cents in here on the Mega Mawile suspect test even though there's a thread for it: Mega Mawile is absurdly powerful (especially the Swords Dance variant) and has decent coverage, though it does have 4MSS a bit, but there's no physical wall that I can think of that can comfortably switch in on it. That said, I kinda don't wanna see it get banned mostly because we've had an awful lot of bans this generation. But I'm not gonna pretend that I understand the metagame as well as some people. Is Mega Mawile truly bad for the meta? IDK.

I was actually expecting Thundurus to be the next suspect test.

You know, if they didn't ban what they did already, I'm sure Mega Mawile could be easily defeated. :)
