Anyways, apologies for being gone all day yesterday I thhhhink without warning, not sure if I mentioned my ridiculous class schedules for Fall 2014. I have every single class one after another on Monday lol

So obviously, I will not be on on Mondays now. :P I said something in the other thread, but here as well just to make sure. And again, subs for Lobrix and MegaSeeker? :U

MegaSeeker I'm really lapsing into replacement suspicions again...
You can battle me (cute puppy face )

You were gone for one day. That's not really a problem.

But I could also sub for one of them for you.

CRUCIFY HIM!

Er...

Yes, one day isn't a big deal. :)

Woop

Krystia, can you sub Dragon/Steel, and Ideals Dragon, do you have a grass / rock team?

Edit: er, wait - don't exactly rush on this - Destiny is very enticing and I may not play these both today heheh

I have enough Dragon and Steel types, but not enough Rock and Grass types. Guess I could always breed and raise a couple more, but who you want to sub for whose gym is up to you.

I little something I just thought of: ya know how we have it so that challengers can't can't the species of Pokemon they use in a challenge without starting over? What about Pokemon with different forms, like Rotom or Kyurem? They're technically the same species, but Rotom-W is obviously quite a bit different from Rotom-H.

I have a question, in double do we follow the single rules ? Or we follow the double tierd. If we play double blaziken is not ban and other pokemons are not bad
You still follow the ban list for both doubles and singles. Since challengers are locked into their Pokemon species, we'd run into the issue of someone using a Mega Blaziken, and while that'd be legal in doubles/VGC rules, it wouldn't be in singles, but they can't change their team, so their only option would be to start over and not use that Pokemon anyway.

How about gym leaders ?? I since we are after all lock in two types
It's not really fair if Gym Leaders use Pokemon on the ban list either. People would get mad if we are allowed to use certain Pokemon but they aren't.

Besides, if we could use the banned pokes, my team would just be Mega Blaziken, Reshiram, filler, filler, filler, filler ----> sweep sweep sweep, no one gets my symbol.

Negative blaziken is not ban in double. However, reshiram still ban. I just saying since if we choose kangaskhan but in double we use mega kagaskhan which that's legal

I meant mega, not negative lol. Freaking phone

But really, who's gonna use regular Kangaskhan in Singles? Most Pokemon that have Mega Evolutions are used solely for the Mega. And like I said, if we allow ourselves to do that, then we have to let the challengers do that as well, and I wouldn't be surprised if people don't follow the rule and just use the banned form in both battle formats anyway. Then there's the issue of VGC and Smogon Singles having different ban lists. For example, Kyurem is not banned in OU, but is banned in VGC. It's actually more restrictive if we use both ban lists, because then people have to watch out and make sure that they can use all their Pokemon in both battle formats.

It's less confusing to people if the ban list is the same regardless of the format.

You can check on the challengers list XD
The challenger's list only lists the species, and not whether it's holding its mega stone or is going to mega evolve. So sure, someone could write down Kangaskhan, but then they could go into a singles battle and have it mega evolve anyway.

I think we should create our own list to sort that out. For example,

Alternate forms of these Pokemon are accepted.
  • Kyurem
  • Cobalion
  • Terrakion
  • Virizion

Alternate forms of these Pokemon are not accepted.

  • Rotom

That's just a small example. Or we could just consider all alternate forms of Pokemon to be the same species. :P

I just wrote it in the quote. If Kyurem form is allow (including the white one) then it is kind of unfair for rotom forms not being accepted

Zekrom, so ou are saying that having Mega Kagaskhan is allow?? o.o or if he mega evolve then the badge will not be earn?

I'm starting to think that we should just allow people to use all alternate forms of a Pokemon whenever they want, as long as the form isn't already on the ban list (like how regular Kyurem and Black Kyurem aren't banned, but White Kyurem is).

I'm saying that it's not allowed. Mega Kangaskhan is currently on the ban list, so mega evolving a Kangaskhan during battle means no badge.

Yeah its kind of confusing xd. alright, but if they do mega kang in doouble does it mean no badge either?
