Do you often use public transport, or are you able to drive or be driven most places instead? Maybe you prefer to walk if you never need to go anywhere long-distance. If you do use it, then which types do you use? Underground if you live in a city, buses, trains, whatever?
And another thing; is the public transport in your area satisfactory for where you need to get to? Do you think the overall quality of public transport should be improved or is it fine for you? What about the prices?
I've spent years using buses and trains to get myself around virtually everywhere. I love using the Underground when I'm in London, which I can get to directly by train from a station near where I like, too! It's quick, convenient and not too expensive, especially if you have a certain pre-paid card which lets you use London's buses and underground for discounted prices, or different one-time card which lets you use them for free for a single day . I never really need to take massively long journeys and when I do I can generally find cheaper routes anyway, even if they take a little bit longer.
As for range, eh. The train goes into London but that's about the only place of interest so I have to wait on a bus quite often which takes a lot longer and I find less comfortable, but I can't complain too much since I can normally blag a child's ticket.
