Quick Question and Answer Thread / Breeding Questions

Is the ruin maniac actually serious when he says lets race? or is it just some random dialogue. Because catching all the unwon would be pretty time consuming.

Just random dialogue. He does go a bit further every time you catch some Unown though.

I think it's safe to say that it isn't hacked (considering those stats are pretty bad even without EVs), but knowing the location and level it was caught/hatched may help confirm it.

Salamence is hacked if it was caught at level 59. Bagon can be caught on Route 210 around level 14-26, depending on the game version.

It is a recent event, a shiny, unlocks something in HGSS, and Japanese, so it is very rare and valuable.

Hi guys =) Dumb question, but, when one uses an IV Calculator (I use the LegendaryPokemon one), what's the deal with the Min, Max and Average, and which one do I quote when somebody asks me for IVs? Ta. :)
 
If you're calculating IVs for levels under a hundred, the average gives a rough estimate of what it is. The min is the lowest possible IV with that Pokemon's current stats and EVs and the max is the highest possible IV with that Pokemon's current stats and EVs. The best thing to do would be to have a battle over wi-fi with lv. 100 rules so that you can get 100% certainty on your IVs. Next best thing would be to quote the average.

All of the Pokes I test are Lv. 1 pretty much, so I'll stick with the average ^.^ Ta!
 
How do I make poffins that will max out my chosen stat? (beauty, cool, cute, smart, tough).
 
The best way, in my opinion, would be to use berries with high ratings like Tamato through Nomel berries, Pamtre through Belue berries, or pretty much anything after Leichi berries.

Tamato/Spelon = Cool
Cornn/Pamtre = Beauty
Magost/Watmel = Cute
Rabuta/Durin = Smart
Nomel/Belue = Tough
Anything after Leichi = pretty much wildcardish.

moves - Earthquake, Explosion, Double-edge, Stone Edge

It appears so. Graveler are found on Route 227 at level 54 with those attacks.

If it is untrained and has had no vitamins, its IVs are: 9 - 10 / 29 - 30 / 18 - 19 / 9 - 10 / 2 - 3 / 12 - 13

In other words... It has high Attack and the other stats are fairly low.

i let my sister download oaks letter since i dont have wifi anymore, does she have to save the game after downloading oaks letter if not will it be deleted?
