9/10 I love how it starts with just the piano, builds up to those dramatic instrumentals, then descends. For some reason I'm getting a Tales vibe from it, same composer?
9/10. I really like the backbeats that go along with the somewhat whimsy track that is this theme. It's got the right amount of ridiculous along with nefarious upper beats to just sell this to me in a nice red ribboned package.
Room temperature just went up faster than the enemy level cap.
9.1/10
Gotta say, I really like this. It fits well with what I assume is a dangerous mission for our clone boys and most definitely gives a vibe of dread and worry. That and the the track in and of itself is good, props to the singers as well.
No dancing around the bush or some reference. Just glad you exist Kaine.
Not liking it doesn't mean it isn't classic. I don't like AC/DC but I recognize their hit songs are classics. Halo is one of the most revered FPS of all time and nearly anyone who has spent any time in the universe recognizes it instantly and has for nearly 20 years-classic.
As for Vragon2.0, 8/10 I am a sucker for piano and the singer has a beautiful tone.

...and having a high opinion of it doesn't mean that it is. There is no objective way to quantify what makes a classic - age and a vocal fandom do not make for an absolute definition. Like most things, it's a personal experience.
7/10. Not one of FFVI's more memorable tracks, but it's a nice melody nonetheless.
Time for something a tad more niche:

Unless of course, you look of the actual definition of classic, not the bastardized meaning most people use. "a work of art of recognized and established value." But then again, I make sure I kow what I'm talking about before I make a claim like that.

classic: adjective: judged over a period of time to be of the highest quality and outstanding of its kind.
classic: noun: a work of art of recognized and established value.
judge: form an opinion or conclusion about.
opinion: a view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
You cannot establish objective value on material of subjective merit. Value is not objectively established through a perceived majority opinion. Make sure you know what you're talking about next time before you try calling me out so rudely, and stay on topic moving forward. Thank you.
If you want to discuss this civilly you're welcome to make a separate topic on the matter, but I'd prefer this discussion not clutter up this thread because it's not the place for it.
EDIT: To follow my own advice, I'll just repost the same VGM:
8/10, it's...gimmicky. /shot
OK, I have a weakness for retro music, and that one is quite catchy and surprisingly unrepetitive for an old track, which are often just the same beat over and over.
We've not had any Metroid in here for a while I don't think!

That's all well and good when using it as an adjective, I wasn't describing it I was using it as a noun. What isn't civil here? If this isn't civil enough for you then some Biotin might help with thicker skin?
7/10 Not a fan of the distortion/staticy sound but Metroid Prime brings back some good memories.
8/10. Nice track, nothing really too bad nor too good about it. It's a nice little symphony piece that while good, I'm sure I wouldn't want to listen to for a long time.
Being honest, I was torn on whether to go with the main theme of Brawl or this one, but yeah. I think combining Melee with Brawl was the better bet without context. And totally not also because of that beginning to Subspace Emissary.
Actually, no I didn't. I just thought to do it this time. Though I will fight you on Brawl's main theme, albeit not in this thread, aheh.
As for the actual song. I like it. Sounds very bepobby, which appeals the low bopping standards appreciation for classic bit soundings I have. I also like how it goes and doesn't sound the same all through it, save for the minor break parts that's just the constant theme. I'm one that if he finds a constant theme in a track that he likes, I'll eat that stuff up like carrot cake at the dessert table. 8.6/10. Still be boppin' my head.
When you want to ask for directions, but everyone either wants to kill you on the other side of the poison bog.
