As for your question, there are actually 2 answers.
First is they don't need to shut the door if they are taking the bus to a secured bus station, they just park it in it's spot and then have the security watch over it, no need for the door to be locked.
if they're not taking it to a bus lot, then they have a key that allows them to manually lock the door.
