2nd Gen Remember trainer Silver any body?

I dont remember any guy called Silver in my Crystal. I do remember there was a guy called ASSHAT who stole a Totodile from the lab.

To be honest, I thought he was a girl when I first saw his sprite. I even called him Amy. I should have paid attention to the in-game dialogue.

Same here, haha; when I'd first seen him in New Bark, I immediately thought he was female. When I encountered him in Cherrygroove later on, I started to realize he was actually a boy. Don't really remember what I named him, though... maybe it was Silver?

I remember him pretty well tbh. I like that they fleshed him out a bit more in HGSS, but I digress. I want to say I named him Peter, because I thought that sounded like a cool name for a jerk rival at the time. I never thought he was a girl, though, lol.

He was the only rival that I ever truly hated. They did an okay job overall (A GREAT job at the time) of making him into a mean, unlikeable guy. Though I did think he was a bit too 'girly' to take seriously...

Totally rude dude, he puts me in a bad mood to be crude. He's quite amusing to look at with all his haughtiness and how he's always too weak for us, haw haw. He doesn't even have the courage to do something real evil. Totally weird. In my first gameplay I named meself KETUP and him as SOS, to match ketchup and sauce (I never really had gotten the hang of spelling then XD) and it was nice to see him bashed up by LANCE. So awesome.

Of course! He was such an arse, how could you forget him? xD

Plus, he's hot. Well he is now, anyway. Back then I thought he was a girl in a skirt.

Yes, yes I do. He was lame. I named him Drew.

Pokemon Gold was mediocre at best with the rival, he just dissapointed. He battle you what, maybe 5 times throughout your entire adventure? I mean, the dude could have at least made a small appearance in Kanto. He was lame, and I know that this was an earlier game but Game Freak still could have, and should have done better with him.

I thought he was a girl for over a year until my friend told me that he was a male. I've always gave my rival a bad word as a name because I was very immature back then. I think in one of my games, I've actually named him ?????

He did make an appearance in Kanto, around Mt. Moon. Then you could rechallenge him at the Elite Four a couple of days a week, or find him in the Dragon's Den.

But I liked the GSC rival (S for me, because I didn't like that letter of the alphabet at the time). He had an interesting personality, and did grow some as a character during the story (more than Blue, anyway). I always felt a little bad for him, to be honest.

Ofcourse I remember him, first (as many of you) I toothoght he was a girl. I always named 'it' ??? because I thought it was funny and couldn't think of anything better, but several years later when I found out 'its' original name; Kamon, I always give the rival this name.

Never thought he was a girl, but did notice his striking hair from the get-go. As a child I always named him Loser, because it gave me a sense of fulfillment. Silver is actually one of the few rivals in Pokemon who actually acts like a total jerk and seems to outright despise the player, which wasn't all bad; I loved beating him, I felt like I was doing a good deed in trying to convince him to treat his Pokemon better.
