Have you ever gotten a rep that made no sense, be it an up or down rep? I have gotten both up and down reps that made no sense. The down rep told me something like 'rate the sig, not the rating'. I was like ". . . What? XDD". It was a stupid down rep. But, meh. XDD

    Any of you?

I really don't like when people give you good, or bad, rep points, but then don't right a comment.

I'd really like to know what I did right, or bad, in my post...

i got a bad rep the other day and it said "you dont know what you are talking about or who you are messing with"...all i thought was "your right, idk who i am messing with..try saying your name or something"..

    "Way to go, minimod"

For asking about a sprite's origin in a game which has rules that I enforce as the thread creator.

    Whatever. XD

I don't think I've ever gotten really silly rep, if I did then I can't remember. A lot of my reps have had some sort of decent comment to them while the rest had no comment at all.

I got a negative reputation in the Do You Like Being Naked Thread. I said, "Do I like being naked? I'm not even going to answer the question. :cer_eek: It was just for humor what I said. Why would another person would want to know huh?

I go another negative reputation for just disliking Naruto. :cer_blankstare:

I've gotten some really stupid and crappy rep comments, and most of them are negative. I simply have very little tolerance for them, so I always report them when I get them. (it may annoy the admins, but I'd like to see idiots who cant give proper rep comments boiled in acid. >O )

It really grinds my gears when some n00b hides behind rep and uses it to flame a person needlessly

Here's my guideline to giving proper rep:
Good Rep can be given for:

    1. Well written posts
    2. Posts which sum your opinion up perfectly, thus saving you from having to say it yourself.
    3. Posts which are helpful, or kind.
    Bad rep is for:

    1. Posts with poor grammar
    2. Posts full of chatspeak, misspelled words, and censor bypass (which should also be reported on)
    3. Posts that are flaming others. (Note: Don't say anything more than something like "You really shouldn't flame people" and report the post if you think it's worth reporting)
    4. Posts that generally break any rules. (Note: be courteous and state the rule, dont say something like "OMG YOU ST00PID N00B!!" or anything that could be considered flaming)
    5. Posts which are OBVIOUSLY offtopic
You should never give any rep for:

    1. 'Not reading your post'. Understand that not all of us have time to read EVERY post in the thread. Most people only read the first few posts, and the last few posts to get an idea of what's going on. I don't care how annoying it is, DON'T REP FOR IT! Just reply to them in a post or VM and ask "Did you read my post?...." If they flame you, it's them in trouble.
    2. Disagreeing. I don't care how much you disagree with someone. It's borderline flaming to neg rep someone for their own opinions.
    3. If a staff member has already taken care of the thread. Don't bother repping the post(s) which break rules.

I've never received a negative rep since I rejoined PC, which was early December.. so, not for negative rep, but for positive, I think I have.. like once or twice. If I did, I don't remember.

I have gotten both. The plus was said "hot" and the minus rep the guy was rude until he realized I wasn't talking about him.

I've gotten I think two neg-reps that didn't make any sense. It's quite frustrating not being able to ask the person to explain it. :(
Almost all my pos-reps have been clear in reason, but pointless; something funny or generally agreeable doesn't deserve the merit of being called a good post.

Just yesterday, I recieved negative rep from a post I made on Feb. 15! And it said, Made No Sense, when really, it did. !!

Well, it's kinda obvious why you got neg repped for that. You posted in a thread that asked a question just to say that you weren't going to answer the question. So what was the point in posting?

As for the second neg rep, well, hardcore Naruto fans are a special kind of people.

As for me, since the rep system has been reintroduced, I actually haven't received any random reps or rep comments. When I've been repped, it's been for posts where I've spent a lot of time and effort elaborating a point and the reps have said something like, "good post" or "I agree with that" and so on.

It seems that, on the whole, people are actually a lot more thoughtful when using rep nowadays.

EDIT: Actually, I did get one rep a few days ago saying "...hah."

That big bolded text? I lost over 50 rep points to such negative rep points. Right now the way rep is being given out is borderline ridiculous. Sure I give some useless reputation out(like say if someone references or post a youtube video which I find excellent I give em a little rep boost) or such but yeah I cannot stand it.

Just yesterday received bad rep from someone with a rep power of 2 and it was all a misconception. They are really childish anyway because it didnt even include them.

All my reps usually make sense...They're mostly from posts that I really made an effort in, and/or the person just happened to agree with me. I've only gotten two bad reps, and those were from people with no rep altering power (fail XD), so all in all, all my rep is fairly normal.

All the reps I've received have made sense one way or another, but that doesn't necessarily mean they were fair.
