How would this work in a sandstorm?

Gliscor @ Yache berry
Impish/Adamant/
Sand Viel
252 hp/170 sp. def/72 speed/10 def
-Swords dance
-Earthquake
-Roost
-Ice fang
252 HP / 12 Atk / 28 Def / 218 Spd with Impish would work far better. Consider Leftovers as an alternative, as you shouldn't generally be trying to wall something that can otherwise OHKO you.

Just a quick question: Damage Calculators. I'm looking for a good one that calculates stats based on evs. What I mean is, I'm looking for a calculator that requires you to input evs instead of statas. Any help?

Kingdra @ Life Orb
Hasty/Swift Swim
170 sp. atk/82 atk/252 spe
-Outrage/Draco meteor
-Surf/Waterfall
-Ice beam
-Rain dance

The only one I know of is Metalkid's, but it's inaccurate, so I would just get on Shoddy and type in the EVs to get the stats. I know it's annoying (as I have to do it all the time), but eh, it's better than nothing.

There might be one out there though,,,I just don't know where it is. Sorry :(

if i'mplanning an all-out physical sweeper with infernape,

what would be better for his STAB fight move?

close combat or focus punch?

**edit**
was planing this infernape
Infernape
-flare blitz
-shadow claw
-thunder punch
-close combat/focus punch

Please Help Me With My Sceptile

Gender: Male

Moveset:
Toxic
Detect
Protect
Leaf Blade

I'm curious if I should replace the Leaf Blade with a stronger grass type attack.
Also, will detect work after protect and visa versa?

Shadow Claw is a waste since you hit everything harder with Flare Blitz. Use Stone Edge for Gyarados, Mence etc >> it.

Also U-Turn is useful for scouting and you only lose 5 base power on things like starmie and slowbro (Stone Edge already owns Gyarados so there is less of a need for T-Punch, since those are pretty much the only things its useful for).

Close Combat>>Focus Punch.

In addition Jolly max speed + max att with a Choice Band.

trick room sandstorm team

rhyperior, shuckle, bronzong, magnezone, cacturne

need sandstorm-starting pokemon

rhyperior WILL have rock slide and earthquake and megahorn
shuckle will hopefully be the encore trapper
cacturne will be the evasion set
bronzong will be the trick room set (duh)

Consider a minimum speed IV ttar for your 'storm starter. There aren't really any better options, unless you plan to waste an item slot on a pokemon to make it hold that sandstorm prolonging item ( I forgot its name).

Smooth Rock. (Odd name, considering it isn't smooth at all. .__.)

Tyranitar is one of your very limited options. Consider D/P's Boah, since he already uses a -Speed nature and your team still needs more special attacking.

The other obvious option is Hippopowdon. Cool, but your team is already quite defensive.

Someone rate this here Ambipom:
*image removed*
Ambipom@ (not sure, suggest something, Life Orb perhaps?)
252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 to HP.
Moveset:
- Fake Out
- Last Resort
- ~
- ~

I know, it gets walled by Ghosts, but I'd say it's a good way to catch a team without one off gaurd, eh?
What d'ya say?

Set is novelty and the metagame lols at it sadly, stuff like tran, tar, ghosts, scizor, heck even empoleon lol and thats just the beginning of it.

Anyways remove last resort for either Payback/ Return (preferably the former, for ghosts)>> it and put Brick Break and U-Turn in the last 2 slots.

Use a Life Orb.

under construction

this team is not totaly finished but i need some help to figure out what i need to finalise it...

thanks in advance

-------
Swampert @ Item
Trait (If required)
Nature
EVs
- Surf

Infernape@ Item
Trait (If required)
Nature
EVs
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Thunder Punch

Umbreon@ Item
Trait (If required)
Nature
EVs
- Baton Pass
- Wish
- Payback

Aggron@ Item
Trait (If required)
Nature
EVs
- Curse
- Metal Burst
- Iron Defence
- Iron Head / Water Pulse

Aggron is a physical wall. Not sure if i should keep Metal Burst. I chose Water Pulse in case a Ground type comes out...

Skarmory@ Item
Trait (If required)
Nature
EVs
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Spikes
- Whirlwind

Skarmory would wall against pokemon with Earthquake. Setting spikes would be its main job...Don't know if i should switch Brave Bird for something else...
Venusaur@ Item
Trait (If required)
Nature
EVs
- Toxic
- Roar
- Grass Knot

- Leech Seed

Venusaur's job would be infecting every pokemon with Toxic...and then use Leech Seed to drain the oponent faster...

lol you know when it says "Nature" in the rules you actually put it...like Impish or Docile or whatever...ditto with the item, trait, and EVs lol

Umbreon cannot special wall and Aggron cannot do anything, so I would replace both (especially since you have skarmory already. You can't really count on Swampert to "sweep" either seeing as its special STAB doesn't even 2HKO physical walls like Weezing and Skarmory.

haha actualy i wasnt finished with the team...as you can see, this is my very first time creating a team.i just looked at the pokemon i wanted and the attacks only.
i'm just putting this half finish team to see if i missed some holes i didnt cover or i covered too much...you know...a beginers mistake...

**edit**also...i never wifi battled anyone yet...so i don't know what is currently happenning... (yeah i'm totaly new)

Roar is counterproductive on Venusaur because it eliminates Leech Seed. Odds are, Toxiseed will force out the opponent anyways, thus getting rid of Roar's usefulness.

You could try a HP instead, or Protect to help stall. Or Synthesis if Lefties aren't enough.

If you're on Shoddy, use Celebi instead of Saur. Unless you're playing UU/BL.

Wait, WAIT, WAIT!!!! I need you to evaluate the moveset! I said it before, and I'll say it again: THIS IS A TRICK ROOM/SANDSTORM TEAM!!! For wifi, so don't judge the second-rate natures, because those in particular have great IV's.

Quiet Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Sand Stream
252 HP / 80 Atk / 176 SpA

~ Substitute
~ Focus Punch
~ Dark Pulse
~ Ice Beam / Flamethrower

Sassy Bronzong @ Life Orb / Lum Berry
Levitate
252 HP / 152 Atk / 8 Def / 96 SpD

~ Gyro Ball
~ Trick Room
~ Hypnosis
~ Explosion

Adamant Rhyperior @ Choice Band / Life Orb
Solid Rock
252 HP / 252 Atk / 6 Def

~ Rock Slide
~ Earthquake
~ Aqua Tail
~ Megahorn

(Please note that although the nature is Adamant, it has 3 Speed IV's, so it's still very, very slow)

Quiet Magnezone @ Leftovers
Magnet Pull
252 HP / 252 SpA / 6 SpD

~ Substitute
~ Magnet Rise
~ Thunderbolt
~ Hidden Power Ice

Brave Cacturne @ Brightpowder
Sand Veil
248 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD

~ Substitute
~ Swords Dance
~ Sucker Punch
~ Focus Punch

Sassy Shuckle @ Leftovers
Gluttony
252 HP / 208 Def / 48 SpD

~ Encore
~ Rest
~ Toxic / Stealth Rock
~ Knock Off / Stealth Rock

How's the team? Here's my opinion on it:

Ah, Trick Room. Trick Room is a great strategy, as is Sandstorm. Mix them together, and you get something amazing. Tyranitar is a good Pokemon in general, scaring off a lot of Pokemon, because you never really know what kind of set a Ttar has. Bronzong uses Trick Room to get the party started, possibly Gyro Balling foes along the way. Rhyperior is the crux of the set, being almost unstoppable after Tyranitar and Bronzong have set up. Also, Sandstorm and Trick Room combined nullify Rhyperior's faults, not only making the Special Defense and Speed usable, but outstanding. Magnezone is a great special sweeper, even more so in Trick Room. It destroys those steels who wish to defy Rhyperior. (Remind me how it does that. I don't actually know how Magnezone actually KILLS steels. Does it do so with T-bolt, or HP?) Shuckle may seem weak, but it is actually a potent wall. In Trick Room, it outspeeds EVERYTHING. Every single Pokemon in the game is slower than it. This helps it to Encore the last move the foe used, so it can be sure what move it's Encoring. It can also poison or Knock Off the foe before it can retaliate. Also, when they think they're KOing it, Shuckle quickly rests before the foe can do so. This can help Rhyperior set up. Cacturne is a little funny. Cacturne DOES have low speed, but does it really NEED the TR boost with the two punches? The answer is maybe. Unlike the other members of the team, it can still fight even AFTER the TR session is over. All it needs to do is Sub and SD, then it doesn't matter if TR ends, because its attacks are positive and negative priority. I think it's pretty good, but if I didn't have my doubts I wouldn't be posting here, right?

I have a question. For Shuckle even though the attack stinks, the speed stinks as well, but would it be a good idea to have Shuckle know Gyro Ball???

Shuckle @ Leftovers
Careful Nature; 252 HP/100 Def/ 152 SpD
Gyro Ball
Toxic
Rest
Sleep Talk

???

No, Shuckle usually relies on it's defences to let it toxistall opponents, since it can't attack worth crap.

Now for my question: My team tends to have trouble with Swampy, Weavile, and just a little trouble with Scizor. I was wondering if a Mixgross would help with them, and if so, what would be a good set for it? If there's something better feet free to give me that, just try to avoid legends since I don't like trying to find good legendaries.
