Can I have some help on my Diamond Team?

Okay, so this is what I have so far. I have a weakness to Ground here so I'm maybe wanting a Grass Pokemon, perhaps Roserade? Any suggestions are welcome. I'd also like some help on the other slots in my team that I need to fill. What types do I need? Which Pokemon? Thanks very much.

EDIT: I just realised I need a Psychic or Ghost.

I might use Mr. Mime, he can learn a lot of cool moves:

Mr. Mime @ ?:
Modest [+Sp. Atk, -Atk]
Psychic
Grass Knot/Energy Ball
Shadow Ball
Thunder/Thunderbolt

Alakazam has a way higher Special Attack, so possibly this instead:

Shock Wave?

However, if we're speaking in terms of Ground counters, because I need one, then surely a Gengar:

Personally, I;d rather use a Gengar than Staraptor.

I'm trying to EV train a Feebas/Milotic in Diamond before sending it to Platinum; EV training at the beginning is so difficult. Can anyone help me with the moves and EVs? I'm using a Bold Milotic with at least Surf, Ice Beam, and Recover, holding Leftovers, and 252 Defense EVs, but that's all I have now.
 
148 HP / 252 Def / 108 SpA would be ideal IMO, as for the last move you should go either Sleep Talk or Hypnosis, if sleep talk then you might want 252 Sp.DEF instead as you can switch in as you anticipate sleep and then lol at things with your max def and still attack with Sleep Talk.

@Water God:
Empoleon wants speacil attacks, not physical adn modest or calm nature(if modest then put agility on there) with leftoveres
Machamp: if it has no guard then Dyamic Punch>Cross Chop
Lucario: Psycic has lol worthy coverage pick something else,
Alakazam and Gengar are about equal in my eyes, pick the one you like more/fits your team better(I say Gengar so you can lol at Earth Quake) they want timid natures and Gengar wants a wide lense if you choose thunder, Shadow Ball and Dark pulse are rudundant use just shadow ball


You don't necicisarily need a grass type, grass knot on Emoleon should suffice

I'm designing a team for the Battle Frontier in Platinum...I can't decide. Here's my team so far.

Confused as far as EV Training goes

Been a longgg time since I've been on these boards. If there is a more useful topic that explains what I need help in, then I aplogize but I am kinda in a rush for work. Nonetheless, I recently bought Platinum and are enjoying it. I already completed the Poke League and now I am in preparation to train for my main team.

Anyway, I am just confused about the whole basic knowledge about EV Training. I am aware that whatever Pokemon you battle against, you gain an equal amount of EV depending on whom you battle. Now my question is, when should I start EV training? Any specific level? I plan on breeding all my Pokemon with the exception of Lanturn and training them as babies. In this scenario, when should I start EV training for them? Excuse me for this long explanation but this has troubled me for quite some time but I would really appreciate if anyone could help me out here.
 
Hey whats going on with the new event coming about and all im getting pretty excited about possibly integrating a Rotom into my party. Im kinda curious to see what kinda rotom sets there are running around. If some1 can please post up some of the popular sets with the EV spreads
 
I thought Serebii said Rotom can't be used there? :\

As you mentioned, you gain EVs whenever you gain experience fin battles. Also keep in mind that all fresh Pokemon that haven't battled yet start out with 0 EVs. Therefore, lv. 1, right after they hatch, is the best time to start EV training since they haven't gained any EVs yet. If you don't want to immediately start for some reason, you could always just leave them in the Day Care for a while, but you might risk losing some Egg Moves in the process.

The moveset is a standard set, so nothing really needs to be changed there. Going Careful with 252HP/96sp.def/164 speed is acceptable (speed allows it to outpace certain threats, trap them, and pass with little trouble)

Umbreon lives much more on the special department, so pumping that is better.

Abomasnow is a good poke for this ground cover Ice+gras typing and a nice movepool and strenghtness I'd also like some help on the other slots in my team that I need to fill. What types do I need? Standard support Umberon with Speed EV's moved into defence because you wanted a mixed wall :)
