That's SubSeed Breloom :)

You could also go with Seed bomb > Leech seed for more Coverage...

All right here is my team (in FireRed, have no cable)

Tyranitar @ not sure yet, looking for ideas
252 Atk, 252 Spd, Naughty
Dragon Dance
Rockslide
Earthquake
Brick Break

Arcanine @ charcoal
252 SpA 252 Spd, Mild
Flamethrower
Earthquake
Fire Blast
Sunny Day
Not sure on this poke or moveset :\

Jynx @ nevermeltice
252 SpA, 252 Spd, Mild
Ice Beam
Psychic
Lovely Kiss
??

Electabuzz
252 SpA, 252 Spd, Hasty
Ice Punch
Thunderbolt
Thunder wave
--??

Not totally sure on my team yet, still looking for 2 more, maybe a poison/spiker and a wall like snorlax.

Could someone help me complete this Porygon2?

Item: Lum Berry
Ability: Trace
Nature: Modest
Moveset:
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Thunder Wave
Recover

EVs: HP 252/Def ?/SpD ?

I know it's better to invest more EVs in Def, but I would still like it to stand up to SpA users fairly well.

Is Venemoth viable against an OU environment?
If so,try your best to give me a moveset.
Something unconventional please. No cookie cutter Smogon sets ^-^

Venomoth is viable in the lower tiers like NU and UU but in OU its gets fainted too easily. The threats there are simply too fast and strong for him plus he can't switch into much due to his fraility :(

However if you wanted the best set for OU go with the Specs set.

Venomoth@ Choice Specs
Nature : Timid(-Atk,+Spe)
Ability : Tinted Lens
EV : 4HP/ 252 SpAtk/ 252 Spe
-Sludge Bomb
-Bug Buzz
-Psychic
-HP Ice

I'm usually not a fan of choice items but i'll give this set a try.
Thanks =]

hi, I am fairly new to the more competitive side of this game and had a question and did not feel it warranted a thread of its own.

If you have a team that is being rated, and a suggestion is made to place a particular TM move on a member of that team that is already assigned to another Pokemon. Is the only way to feasibly continue working on this team to completely replay the game as it appears that TM's are one use items?

I ask this because i am going through plat. version and acquireing a number of these TM moves, but am afriad to use them on any of my pokemon. Becasue, if i need them for a team later on when i have finished playing through the game, i would have to replay the entire game again.

Is this really how this system works?

It just seems like alot of work to tweak your teams if you need TM moves that are already in use. replaying the game 5-10 times to get the setup you want through play testing the team seems overly combursome.

Just looking for a little clarification or confirmation on this.

Thank in advance

Hola. I need help with figuring out an EV spread for the battle frontier, but would like to transfer these pokemon to competitive battling as well (soon as my wifi works anyways). Unfortunately, I'm limited to TMs that are buyable, because I can't trade for any (for now...).
So far, my team goes like this:

Infernape
Nature: Careful (+SpD, -SpA)
Ability: Blaze
-Close Combat
-Flare Blitz
-Stone Edge
-U-turn

Kadabra
Nature: Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
Ability: Synchronize
-Shadow Ball
-Recover
-Psychic
-Hidden Power: Fire

Floatzel
Nature: Gentle (+SpD, -Def)
Ability: Swift Swim
-Ice Fang
-Waterfall
-Crunch
-Brick Break

Defensive porygon 2 run 252HP/216Def/40SpAtt if I remember correctly.

Am I correct in hearing that there's a more up-to-date source for standard movesets than smogon's strategydex?

After doing a good amount of research i did not realize the vast amount of competitive play was done on simulators like shoddy battle. The fact that such a program exists, eliminates the concerns i had over tm's and greatly encourages getting into competitive play. I apologize for not doing the research completely first. Thanks for the input.

Gofre - It's called the Smogon Workshop in the forums.

Bashoomba - Hey, it was a perfectly viable question. There's no need to worry. It's also worth mentioning, that with any TM Move, it can be passed on to a baby by the father when breeding. This works well for once-only TMs such as Grass Knot and Stealth Rock; keep in mind not every first-stage pokemon can learn the move you require, like Bagon and Roost.
