The First Pokemon War
As many know, this world is inhabited by pokemon. But it's also inhabited by humans, and as most would believe they live together in relative harmony. For the most part this is the true, despite all Pokemon being considered nothing more than pets at worst and friends at most. And this delicate balance has survived for so long between the two races, that things have stayed calm and stable between humans and pokemon. As the human race expands in size throughout all known regions and nations, they continue to make inroads to pokemon habitats by bulldozing them down and deforesting them. Pretending that bringing them into captivity will keep them happy, after their friends and family are murdered by the same beings that have them trapped in small electronic devices.
Times were getting bad for many of the pokemon races across the world, to the point where pokemon sympatric people noticed. Staging a protest through peaceful means with their pokemon there right beside them, it happened simultaneously across the world. As the people made their protests and peaceful blockades, a conglomerate of multinational cooperation's who spear heading pretty much all protested events were. Took it on them to deal with the protesters despite media coverage and police presence, using their own personal security forces armed with live fire. The conglomerate ordered them to fire on all the people protesting, mowing down most everyone in the vicinity including media and police. After the first smoke volley cleared, all that was standing left were everyone's pokemon who were protesting alongside those that were now strewn across the road. In almost complete synchronization, each surviving pokemon suddenly become overcome with immense rage to berserker proportions.
Attacking the private army with a vengeance, the pokemon left no holds barred as they devastated the Conglomerate army. Those that survived retreated to the safety of their fortified lands, surviving camera crews relayed the horror across the world before the company could put a stop to it. Events were viewed two fold by many as both an affront to human rights, and a big cheer was given to the pokemon for seeking vengeance for their masters. While others only saw the horrific attack by the pokemon on humans, forgetting the protesters as some kind of annoyance or suitable sacrifices. Time passed and retaliation was brought on by extremists funded by the Conglomerate, to both the pokemon responsible and those that remained in general population. A militia army enters a multi-racial breeding ground for pokemon, with nothing more than malice intention and very heavy fire power and armour to protect them. Opening fire as soon as they entered the breeding grounds, many pokemon were caught unaware in a supposedly safe and relaxing location for them and their family.
Those who survived the initial attack or were further in when the first volley hit, responded with severe violence and power not caring about their own safety as so many pokemon were ripped from the world. As both sides traded blows with one another, more pokemon then people fell to the onslaught as they had come prepared for all attacks. While it was widely known that pokemon had weaknesses, which were used against them as much as they could. After the militia had finished the massacre, they left the breeding grounds burning and bleeding for those that may have survived to suffer. During this whole ordeal, the Conglomerate were commencing an experiment on alternate realities, which had them targeting the most powerful dimensional based legendries such as Arceus, Giratina, Darkrai, Diagloa, Pulkia. Who might respond to the massacre with an attack of their own, hoping that the other legendries may not be close enough or quick enough to intervene. As their energy disrupted the dimensional pathways that allowed many legendries into the human world leaving them cut off from their pokemon brethren, those legendries still in the human world raced to the site of the massacre.
Getting there only in time to help rescue the survivors, all the legendries that came not only saw the horror but had it relayed to them by the survivors. It was decided that the legendries would hold a meeting amongst themselves, and those of semi legendary status along with leaders of the various pokemon communities and races. Soon after news of the massacre spread, those sympatric to the pokemon made another uprising against the conglomerate only to be literally shot down again. This time however, many of them came prepared for such an eventuality and survived the first volley. Returning fire as the army of the Conglomerate reloaded their weapons fearing nothing from an event they'd been through before. To their surprise, more than half the crowd had survived and returned fire on the unsuspecting army. Using their own tactics against them decimated a third of the army before they could retaliate to the attack. Sadly superior fire arms and reinforcements put the Conglomerate army back on top, that was in till an army of pokemon lead by legendries such as Lugia, Azleaf, Muspirit and Uxie arrived. Supporting the protesting army with all they could turning the tides on the Conglomerates, forcing them to retreat with no less than a quarter of their army left.
Both sides knew things had taken a larger turn as the multinational conglomerate was far from out of the picture, so taking leave of the location with the legendries armies. Were those that stood against pokemon slaughter and survived the attack on the Conglomerate, becoming a part of the armies of the pokemon species some even turning their appearance from the norm in respect to their choice. Now that the sides were drawn, the Conglomerate went on a PR campaign about the further attacks by pokemon on the human race. Hoping to push on the fear that pokemon brought many people, causing some to run to the side of the Conglomerate to further their connections and numbers. While the pokemon and the sympatric also went on a recruiting spree, bringing in many trainers and other pokemon enthusiasts to their side in hopes of protecting the species. As both sides rose their army's numbers, political and media debate skyrocketed on what was happening between this Conglomerate and the pokemon species.
Those signals that could get out without interference from the Conglomerate, spoke the truth about the events that started it all and the escalation by the Conglomeration. As before it was taken in a twofold way, some were completely horrified by the Conglomerate and their acts. While others supported their actions as proper retaliation for pokemon crimes, soon much of the world was split in half about all the life lost. The pokemon species and those that supported them had set up in locations far away from people that were either sacred to the pokemon species or therefore protected. While the Conglomerate and its supporters were setting up in cities controlled by them, soon becoming pokemon free zones where any and all pokemon were shot on site. This didn't just stop with pokemon as trainers, breeders, contesters and all other related pokemon based people, were given the choice to turn away from pokemon by executing their pokemon and become a part of the Conglomerate or they'd be shot.
The world governments were at a loss as what to do, since things had fallen out of their hands./And the numbers on both sides had risen above that of the government's, even some of the governmental armies and officials had chosen their sides already dwindling they low numbers. They had no choice but to back away and save themselves, as both sides came to full force against one another in the little town of Solaceon. Where people and pokemon had once worked together for a better life for both, but once all the current events the town became an almost ghost town. Allowing the Conglomerate and the Poke Army to come to blows within and around its boarders, as the once country became a battlefield the outside world had officially declared a war had broken out. Dubbed the First Pokemon War, both sides threw everything against their foes as devastation was brought upon the lands of Sinnoh. After the smoke cleared in the first battle, it was unclear who had one as both sides had severe deaths and injuries.
Soon after this battle, both the Conglomerate and the Poke army went on the war path. Taking towns and regions under their wing in an effort to get a stronghold and supply chains, while the poke army was relatively honorable about the way they did things. The Conglomerate had already proven that they'd go to any lengths to achieve their goals, devastating any place or person that didn't bow to their ways. And so the First Pokemon War was in full swing, as the lives of both people and pokemon hung in the balance.
