There's more rules and complications but, pretty much it's a death match between the mages and their servants. The winning mage and servant of the war are both granted one wish. What I had in mind was a alternate universe where it's the first ever grail war and it's held in a huge city like LA or New York. I would put in some more twists and such but thats all for here

Actually that sounds really good, I may have to join. I have been meaning to look into the fate series and now I really want to xD


As for what makes me want to not join an RP if it's a good RP; when I look into an RP I check out the story, what it is based on (if anything), who is in it and a number of other things. But really the first things for me are always do I have time and is it something I find interesting.

If I have time, the RP looks interesting and everything out checks out I'll join but if just one of those things doesn't I'm not likely to join.
 
To anyone thats at least a little interested in the Fate franchise go look up the Fate/Zero Summoning scene on youtube... that scene.. Is amazing... XD

Love the Fate anime.

I had thought about doing an RP tying it to pokemon, back in my brainstorming stage. The main issue I had, whether it was fate/normal or fate/pokemon was whether to keep the main idea.

Should the characters be killing each other off, or would it be better to great a universal enemy for them (so they work together) - or maybe even split it into two teams.

What were your ideas, ChiliDawgs?
 
I was thinking of keeping it the traditional style... But I could never come up with an idea on how to kill off the characters...
 
Okay, so regarding that Battle Network RP that I'm working on, I thought of an interesting concept. The concept is splitting the group into NetOps and NetNavis, so one group would be the real world characters like Lan, while the other group would be the digital characters like Megaman.EXE. The only real problem I could think of is that it reduces the class size, and it also limits some of the action that NetOps have, since they wouldn't be the ones fighting viruses and what not. Would anybody like to chime in on this?
 
Is there any Australian time zone RPs? I'm finding it relatively difficult to communicate with other role-players properly and I have quite a strict sleeping schedule so it would be much appreciated if someone knew of an RP like this.
 
Most of the RPers here are probably american. Then there are really people from all over the world, especially Asia. I think Europeans (such as me) are actually a minority?

But it works fine for the RPC of PC, since we usually try to discourage too fast moving RPs with tiny posts. And if the players are in different time zones, they sometimes can't really post quickly after one another and have to wait - making it preferable to flesh out a post a bit rather than to post quickly to get a quick reply.
 
@colony A megaman battle network rp eh? Sounds interesting... But, that's a pretty interesting concept that you came up with. I thought maybe doing that for the fate/zero rp im working on but, for that it wouldnt work but for megaman it might

Yeah, this basically. As an example, Red has the tendancy to post at 4am my time, which is probably something more reasonable in her time zone. So then Americans such as myself have basically the whole day to write up a post before her time lets her get another post up herself.
 
So, I'm gonna go ahead and do the Project X Zone based RP with set appearances. Although I do feel like I need the help of soe of you, in what GMing refers to. The RP is based upon a game that is a crossover between SEGA, Namco Bandai Games and Capcom, so it figures there are a lot of franchises that need a bit of backstory in the OOC, as well as their worlds, characters and enemies I will include in the RP. Furthermore, I wish to do references to said franchises at several points but I don't know enough of many of them to actually do so.

Some of those franchises include Yumeria, Dead Rising, Darkstalkers, Devil May Cry, Megaman X, Tales, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Rival Schools, God Eater, Valkyria Chronicles, Sakura Wars, Street Fighter and Resident Evil just to mention a few of them.

Long story short I'm asking for one or two users that wish to GM the RP with me. Let me know either by replying here or VMing/PMing me if you're interested. Thank you for your time. o3o

Hey everyone. I'm sorry, but I'm going to be leaving for a few weeks. Three to be exact. I promise no activity the first week, and very little to none the second two. I will return however. If my characters could be bunnied until then, that would be great.

@elite: I wouldn't be able to GM, but a few of those games I have a good understanding of and I'd be happy to help with the backstory, and references.

Europeans are indeed a minority on PC. I know that a few are from Europe here but I think Americans are a majority.

Kind of a wide question, there. There are a lot of factors. Depends on the franchise it's based on, the looks of the opening post, the plot of course and the GM to some extent. That being said, I never automatically renounce a RP because of the GM.

Oh, and a good RP needs players who actually post instead of leaving the thread to fade away for a month between posts. Inactive players don't make a good RP.
 
Noob question: how do I join a role-play?

I'm looking for something where I get to be a Pokémon (Cubone), but not Mystery Dungeon-esque. There should be humans in it.

Any suggestions?
