  • "D- Don't come any closer," the Roselia murmured as she stood protectively in front of Cobalt. "That Kecleon didn't do that to him; you did, Ambrose. You accused him of hurting Chi and then attacked him."

Ambrose detected hissing in her voice. Why did everyone have to be a loon nowadays? Or maybe he's the only non-loon in the world. Made sense the way his bloody day was going.

"What in Arceus' great name are you talking about? I fainted after I hit the spikes on the carpet there," Ambrose said, pointing to the spot he was thrown by the Kecleon. "I did no such thing. Besides, why would I hurt Cobalt for hurting Chi? Did he cause the broken paw on purpose?" He said, eyeing the frightened overgrown puppy.

    ----

Chi started to gnaw on the ball, it having a weird texture on its top. It had two bumps on it for some reason.

"I saw it happen Ambrose. Cobalt helped you off that spike and you saw Chi's leg. You acted very... strange. Sounded more like a girl and your eyes where yellow. You accused him of wanting to eat Chi and then said something along the lines of let's see how you like being eaten. Then you bit him" she said not moving from in front of Cobalt. "You've been acting real strange lately Ambrose what's up?"

  • Ambrose looked at her if she were insane. What?!

"Are you daft?! Me, sounding like a girl? Are you just screwing with me for the fun of it, guys? Because I don't appreciate it," He said, clenching his face in frustration. He shook his head. "And I have violet eyes, nitwit." He said, pointing at one of his irises. "Do you even know how much it would take for someone's eyes to turn from purple to yellow naturally?"

Ambrose finally got to thinking about that last question. He has been acting a bit weird lately, hasn't he? What with the dreams....

But it's not like some nosy plant who was talking absolute rubbish needed to know that.

"Bu-but it's true!" Cobalt finally said. He didn't move from the spot he was at. He hid behind Ame, even though his head was bigger than her whole body. If he had been watching the scene and saw a Mightyena hiding behind a roselia like that he probably would have laughed. But there was nothing funny about this now.

  • Ambrose was done debating this stupid hallucination these two were having. He has good memory, and he knows that never happened.

"You're both freaking moronic. I'm done playing your little game. Now, we have a quest to fill and I have a kid to give to somewhere. Now drop the charade and prepare to search out our next route to the ocean," Ambrose said firmly.

He turned back to find Chi playing with an odd spherical-shaped item. He tried to identify what it was as Chi played with it.

Now drop the charade and prepare to search out our next route to the ocean," Ambrose said firmly. He looked over at Chi. Cobalt was beginning to calm down a little now. He straightened up a bit, and though he continued to shot frightened glances at Ambrose, and would walk back if he got too close to him, he began sniffing around. He had no idea where the ocean was. He couldn't smell it. They must be too far away. He had calmed down enough to regain some of his old curiousity.
"What is moronic? And what's a charade?" he asked nervously, still keeping an eye on Ambrose in case he got mad and went to attack him again.

(OOC: Why do I get the feeling that for a while anytime that Chi gets hurt Ambrose is going to go all yellow eyed on Cobalt?)

Amethyst looked at Ambrose and sighed. "I still can't believe your going to abandon her. She's probably not going to adjust well and if she finds a way back I will say I told you so" she said before turning to Cobalt. "It's better you don't know what moronic means" she said looking at Cobalt. "I won't let anything happen don't worry" she said low enough only Cobalt could hear her.

    Regirock

The Lombre seemed so self-confident. Regirock laughed with a loud booming noise. That little creature didn't know what was coming for him. Alone with a huge rock legendary inside a chamber in the desert. He was doomed.

Regirock took a deep breath and rose up to his fullest. He then used his powers to make sharp stones come out of nowhere. "Stone Edge!" he shouted and made them shoot towards the little Lombre. At the same time as he had fired them, he used other powers to harden his own body. In a second, his skin became as hard as steel, you could almost see it glancing, if it wasn't for the darkness.

He could of course see perfectly fine in the dark chamber, but he didn't think that Fizz could. Still only a couple of seconds after the Stone Edge was fired, Regirock started firing up his next move. The Charge Beam sparkled as it erupted from his hands and left to zap the creature who should be somewhere in front of him, unless the stones had already chopped him to pieces.

    Riz

Riz looked up when the Flash Cannon stopped. Daiyu had foolishly attacked Registeel head on. But maybe... that was the way to go now. What else could they do?

"Get 'im!" she screamed at him.

Riz grunted and leaped forward. This time, Registeel was a goner. Riz would use his electric moves, since he noticed that Daiyu had successfully paralyzed the legendary.

"Electro Ball!" Riz couldn't help shouting as he fired it. Registeel was slow enough to get hit, and the sparks that flew on the impact lightened up the whole chamber. It had hurt, for sure. And angered it.

Registeel went completely still, but seemed to be fuming. Suddenly, a light erupted from between his hands. He was firing up another attack, and this one gleamed in gold and the colors of the rainbow... it was almost beautiful. Riz didn't know what it was, but it sure seemed to take time to load up. He took the chance and ran over to Daiyu's side, taking her hand.

"Sorry," he said with a nod to their hands. "But even though there is no visible sky here, there is electricity in this humid air and... let's use Thunder together and fry him. He obviously doesn't listen to reason. You know Thunder, don't you?"

[OOC: Also, it's hyperbeam that Registeel is preparing.]

  • Nova woke up early the next morning, rested and ready for what may come. She drank the morning dew off of the leaves of bushes and ate a few Pecha berries from a tree before taking her first steps into the sandy wasteland that was the desert. She would have to travel quickly otherwise she would be exhausted by the time she found Groudon, and that wouldn't be good. So she began her trek across the sea of sand. Luckily for her most trainers prefered to cross the desert in the evening when it was cooler. On the other hand, her dark fur absorbed the heat around her, making for one hot, sweaty Absol. "I'm definitely not built for this," she grumbled.

Turning back momentarily to look longingly at the swiftly disappearing trees, she was surprised to see the Cacnea from the day before following her. "What do you want?" she growled.

The green pokemon stared at her for a moment as if not comprehending what she had said than a smile spread across it's face. "I think you're cool! By the way, my name is Spike. Don't worry about attacking me yesterday. I understand. Oh, what's your name?" the Cacnea said in fast voice. Nova could hardly tell where one sentence began and another ended.

"Nova," she said simply than turned back around and walked on towards Mt. Chimney. Spike happily skipped along after her, pestering her with questions.

"What are you in the desert? Are you a wanderer? Do you have any friends? Are you trying to kill yourself from heat stroke?"

Finally, she had enough and turned to him growling, "Will you shut up already?! No, I'm not trying to kill myself! I'm trying to get across this rotten desert so I can ask Groudon to lend Celebi some of his power!"

Unfazed, the hyperactive Cacnea continued with his interrogation. "Why does Celebi need Groudon's power? Why are you helping her? Isn't she from Johto?" So the day continued with the Absol snapping at Spike every so often and the Cacnea pestering Nova with every question imaginable.

  • The big statue moved and created very sharp stones, which he threw at me. But I didn't lose my mind. I knew exactly what to do. I created a copy of myself and quickly moved out of the way. Ah, Substitute, it has saved my life so many, many, many times... Anyway, I watched from the darkness as my clone got shattered into a million pieces and was then hit by a powerful Charge Beam from Regirock. I laughed to myself. He won't know what hit him...

"Missed me, Rocko." I said quietly and fired a powerful-looking Hydro Pump at the big monster. Hopefully it will hit it hard and make it come to its senses...
I smirked as the blast got closer and closer to the big statue. It won't know what hit it...Hehehe...

    Regirock

The Hydro Pump hit its target and blew it many meters back. Suddenly, one of Regirock's arms was torn off. Then a leg, and the head. The Hydro Pump had completely shattered the pokémon! But then... the body parts suddenly vanished in a beam of light.

A dark laughter was heard. From behind a stone pillar to the left of Fizz, stepped the real Regirock. "I agree. Substitute can be useful," the heavy rock pokémon said. "How's tasting your own medicine? It is rather cowardly to use it though. You don't even have the guts to face me head on, and you want a piece of my power? You don't deserve it! If anything, show that you deserve it!"

Regirock roared. "Rock Slide!" Large boulders fell down from the dark roof, towards Fizz.

  • "Rock Slide!" the huge Pokémon roared and made the ceiling, or what was left of it, crumble. I looked up at the boulders that were about to fall on top of me wihtout seeming to care. I had another tick up my sleeve. I created a green barrier around me, and the boulders just shattered upon touching it. I wasn't hurt, not even a single bit. "A great defense can be a great offense, Rocko." I said calmly, "It's not about who has the coolest attacks. So you have Substitute...Big deal..."

I didn't fear the big rocky monster. I promised Celebi I would help her get his power, and I'm a Lombre of his word. But it seemed my opponent was too hardheaded to listen to me, and I now I was in a fight with him. I needed another move, another one that would hit him hard. Or something that would give me an advantage. Then I remembered a move, a very sneaky but powerful one. One that I was born knowing, I remember my dad used it once. Looking at the rocky monster with a smaile on my face, I opened my mouth and blasted some seeds at him. You won't see this coming, Rocko...I hope my Leech Seed takes all the stubborn out of ya.

    Regirock

Regirock saw the boulders fly and grinned inside. Suddenly, he felt something snare around him though. And suck the life out of him. He roared. What was this? An evil grass attack. Leeching bastard. He tried to grab the vines that had spread around his rocky body, but they wouldn't come off. Angry, he turned back towards the Lombre that had apparently survived the Rock Slide without a problem.

Maybe he had to change his tactics. He raised up, feeling the Leech Seed suck life out from him, slow but steadily. Focusing his power, he took aim at the Lombre. "Lock On..." he said. "There you are."

Then, he started gathering power between his hands again. "Hyper..." he slowly said as the beam charged up. It wouldn't miss this time. The Lock On attack hade made that sure. He just had to finish charging the attack up before something else wrecked his plans.

  • I smiled when the seeds wrapped Regirock and started giving me his energy. But that smile disappeared when he aimed at me and started charging a beam. I had no time to lose, I had to launch one of my attacks, and quickly, because if I didn't, I was gonna be literally fried.

Then I had an idea. A very bright idea. I quickly looked up at the hole that allowed sunlight to light up the cave. I walked over to that sunny spot and looked at Regirock while I let my green lilypad absorb all the light, and I could feel it was glowing. After all, it was on top of my head, right above my eyes. Anyway, when I noticed Regirock was about to fire the beam at me, I fired my beam, with energy I gained from the sun, who had helped me a lot in my journey.

You won't fry me with your beam...Not if I fry you first with my Solarbeam...

  • Lillia

Lillia woke up late. She yawned and stretched out, blinking tiredly at the sun. What was she supposed to do today? Oh, right! Celebi! She walked out of her home and down to the pond that was nearby. She began drinking from it. She spotted something floating in the water and instantly wanted it. She dove in and swam towards it. She caught it in her mouth and swam back to shore. It was a coin. She spat it on the ground and looked at it.
"Heads up! That means good things will happen today!" she said happily. She hid the coin in her fur and walked back to her house. She grabbed a bag she had found a long time ago and filled it with things she wanted to take with her. The lucky coin she just found, a few Oran berries. a broken radio, a few old newspaper clippings, and finally, a bottle of stuff that she had been using to make her sleek and silky coat shine. She vaguely wondered what the symbols on the side of it meant.

    Ryan's Flea Spray

That was what was on the side. She wondered what it meant. She shrugged. It's not like she could read or anything like that. And there were more symbols on it, but they were smaller and less colorful, and therefor less important. She stuck her head through the strap on the bag and set off to find Celebi. By the time she got to the tree, everyone had gone. She had wanted to leave yesterday, but she had forgotten about it. So, she would make up for it today. She climbed the tree easily and and knocked on the door.
"Ms. Celebi. It's me, Lillia. I said I was going to leave and I may be late, I really am going!" Lillia said. Celebi opened the door looking surprised.

"Lillia! Thank you so much for this! Any ideas where you're going first?" Celebi said. She floated around, obviously in a good mood now that the storm had passed further to the west. That would be a good excuse for why she hadn't left earlier. She hadn't wanted to leave while it was raining.

"Yes, I'm going to go find Groudon. I may be able to get him to help," Lillia said.

"Is there anything I can do for you?" Celebi asked. Lillia thought about this. She almost wanted to ask for another pretty thing to put in her house, but she had tons of them. But, this would be from Celebi, and would probably make the rest of her things look like junk. She decided against it. She wouldn't want to seem like she was only out for the reward.
"Don't worry about it. I'll probably find lots of cool things on this trip!" Lillia said. Celebi frowned a little, but nodded.
"Thanks again for your help!" she said and watched as Lillia walked back down the tree.

Lillia reached the edge of the village with no problem. It was then she realized she'd never been out of the village in this direction. Oops. Maybe she could find someone to help her. She dug through her bag until she found what she was looking for. It was a worn piece of paper with a very nice drawing on it. The drawing had been called a map when she asked what it was. She had found out her home was here, and there was a human town here... So maybe if she got to the human town she could find someone to help her find Groudon. She wondered around in the woods after she put the map away. A voice in the trees startled her.
"What are you doing in our territory?" it said.

"I'm trying to get to the human town! Can you help me?" she asked. She identified the voice from the trees. It was a Mightyena. She had heard rumors that there was a pack running around between her village and the human town, and they seemed to be right. The Mightyena seemed a bit disappointed with her request.

"The new alpha said we should help people that aren't trying to take over our territory. I'll take you to the other side, and that's it!" he said as he began escorting her through the woods. New alpha? She had heard rumors about what the old alpha had been doing, and was glad he had been replaced.

  • (OCC: So sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days, I was away from internet access. :3)

Ambrose kept inspecting the odd ball Chi was playing with as much as he could; he'd seen it somewhere before but just couldn't place it.

"What is moronic? And what's a charade?" Cobalt asked, fear still lingering in his voice.

Ambrose sighed in annoyance, being interrupted from his small-scale investigation. He went to answer, but was infamously denied from doing so by the pesky Grass-type that kept following them around.

"I still can't believe your going to abandon her; she's probably not going to adjust well. And if she finds a way back I will say 'I told you so.'" The testy Roselia said, then turning to the mutt behind her "It's better you don't know what moronic means,"

She's following us just to spite me, isn't she?

Ambrose turned to the duo. "I-" he said before noticing the plant was whispering to the dog. Ambrose cleared his throat loudly to gain their attention. "I didn't really ask for your opinion, now did I, Amethyst? Not that I should feel trusting of ones who keep secrets from me, anyway." He said, glaring with a smile. Who are they to leave out information from me?

Ambrose looked back down the ball. Chi was gnawing on it. Ambrose finally put a name on it in his head. He quickly grabbed it away, much to Chi's disliking.

"Crap! This is a master ball!"

    Cobalt

Cobalt perked his ears up when Amethyst whispered to him, but made no other signs he had heard her. He was still focused on Ambrose Flannigan. He still wasn't sure what to make of him. His scent had finally returned to normal. He had smelled like a different person when he had been so mad at Cobalt, who still didn't understand why. And now he wasn't anymore. At least, not any more than he usually was.

"I didn't really ask for your opinion, now did I, Amethyst? Not that I should feel trusting of ones who keep secrets from me, anyway." He said, glaring at them. He had an odd smile on his face and Cobalt got scared again. They weren't keeping anything from him! Ame was just trying to make Cobalt feel better, that's all!

"We aren't keeping secrets! I promise! Ame was trying to get me to calm down!" Cobalt said hurriedly. He glanced back at the ball Chi was playing with. He had no idea what it was, but it looked fun! But he was rooted to the spot. Ambrose snatched the ball away from her saying something about a Master Ball.
"Um... What's a Master Ball? And what's so bad about it?" Cobalt finally asked.

  • Riz fired an Electro Ball at Registeel, which obviously had dealt some major damage. Registeel began loading up another attack, which gleamed in gold and colors of the rainbow. Daiyu looked at it admiringly, then suddenly felt a hand take hers.

"Sorry," he said with a nod to their hands. "But even though there is no visible sky here, there is electricity in this humid air and... let's use Thunder together and fry him. You know Thunder, don't you?"

Daiyu looked up and blinked at him for a moment, then smirked. That was the move she used on the Mightyena before. Of course she did.

"Who doesn't?" she asked. Her cheeks suddenly began crackling even more with electricity. Her body started to be consumed by it as she charged up the attack. Registeel, you're going down. She was ready to fire the attack, but she waited for Riz so that they would attack in unison. That would pack a powerful punch.

  • Ambrose gulped. He was petrified that he let the newborn play with such a harmful piece of technology.

Cobalt expectantly questioned what a "master ball" was.

"It's- It's like those things that humans use to make Pokemon their slaves, but, you know how you can get out of those by pressing the red light inside?" Ambrose said, slightly straining to make it sound simple for the idiot dog. But there was still that sense of panic in his voice. Ambrose waited a sign of understanding, and when he was satisfied, continued. "Well these special 'master balls' are made to trap creatures like us without fail. Once you get captured into one of these, there's no coming out."

Ambrose shook off his panic and shoved the ball back into a coat pocket of the trench coat. He put on the coat, which was seemingly perfect despite Ambrose's size. It must've been made especially made for Pokemon.

Chi was desperately trying to receive the ball from the pocket, barking at Ambrose for a swift return of the object. She was whining eventually and started lightly scratching Ambrose's pocket for it. Ambrose kept brushing her off the more she tried.

  • Cobalt

Cobalt looked up when Ambrose Flannigan began explaining what the master ball was. At first he was a little confused as to why he sounded scared. But by the end, Cobalt himself was horrified.

"It's- It's like those things that humans use to make Pokemon their slaves, but, you know how you can get out of those by pressing the red light inside?" Ambrose said, sounding scared. Cobalt nodded. Weren't those horrible things called pokeballs? He hated them!

"Well these special 'master balls' are made to trap creatures like us without fail. Once you get captured into one of these, there's no coming out." Ambrose Flannigan finished after Cobalt nodded. Cobalt froze. The humans made pokeballs you could never escape from?! That was horrible! How could they do that!? He watched as Ambrose put the ball in the pocket of the coat he had just put on. Why was he doing that? Did he want to keep it? What was he going to do with it? All those questions rushed around Cobalt's mind, but he said nothing. He didn't want to make Ambrose mad after he had just calmed down. Cobalt himself was feeling a little more normal again and walked around and began sniffing through the stuff in the store himself. He had no idea what this stuff was. He still kept a watchful eye on Ambrose, not feeling that scared anymore, but he didn't want to make Ambrose mad and get hurt by him again.

    Lillia

Lillia walked with the Mightyena. She soon realized that this was the same pack that had attacked her three years ago. She was pleased at the abrupt change in attitude.
"This is the edge of our territory. The humans live that way. I'd be careful, they've captured a lot of our pups over the years," the friendly Mightyena said before walking away with an odd grin. Lillia smiled back and thanked him for his help. She set off in the direction he had told her.

Lillia soon stopped. She was hungry. She didn't want to eat those Oran berries she had brought. They were for healing if she got hurt. She sniffed around and was aware of a bush of Pinap berries. She licked her lips. Those would do. She walked over and began pulling berries from the lower branches of the bush and eating them. She stopped when a glint of something caught her eye. It was shiny, and she loved shiny. She went after it and began tugging it out of the ground. It was a small copper wire. Easy to bend in her hand-like paws. She placed it in her bag. You never know when something like that may come in handy.
