School Chit-Chat

Hmm...well, what are your favorite subjects this year in school? Since we're talking about school. =P

My favorite class is Science, the second day I went into Applied Science something cool happened! And also the work is fun, and I love doing leb reports and experiment. I wonder why I switched to Applied...meh, not sure why, but the worj is easier. :D

Ah, I have applied Math this year, and it is pretty good. Right now we are learning integers and stuff, which I already know since I was in Academic for a little hwile :D so right now I am having hardly any of a struggle, except when it comes to percentages. ._.; *knows nothing about percentages*

Over school vacation my teacher's always gives us tons booklets to do. It supposed to be a break right? So then why do they give us homework? :P

I haven't gotten homework over vacation a lot over the last few years. Last year for ICP my teacher gave us a project to start working on that was due the week after Christmas vacation. Of course I didn't start it then and I ended up doing really bad... but that's besides the point. I hope I don't get homework in April over the break. If I do it's not likely to get done anyway unless I finish it in school.

I bet I'm going to get a lot of homework since the vacation is right before the Citywide Test. x_x

This is what my teacher does, too. She gave me a packet to do. I'm gonna "forget" about it and hope for the best. They shouldn't do that, though.

I have a feeling they do that to make us hate vacation so we could go to school everyday. But that's not going to work on me. :P

That stinks... my vacation is so late this year. Ours is after the CAPT testing so I hopefully won't get too much work. I still don't know why it's so late. My math teacher said that we always get the 3rd week in April off... but this year it seems so much later than usual.

My gym teacher said that we had to start the physical fitness test this week. We didn't even get to practice yet! Well, so far so good though. I passed sit-and-reach with ease. 26" to pass and I got 38"! Sit-ups I got 40 something I'm not sure because the guy who counted for me was mad about his own score. We both ended up giving each other an extra couple though... either way I passed though. Today we did push-ups. I can't do them well but I did pass! I did 13 good ones. To pass girls needed 9. Most of the girls didn't get 9 though. Next week, however, is the mile run. The one test I know I will fail. I was going to train for it in the spring... but so much for that. Oh well... 3 out of 4 isn't that bad considering a lot of the other girls in my class failed most of the others. The tests don't count toward our grades anyway...

What's a sit-and-reach? Atleast you get tested.. The class gets tested about two months a test. I really want to show off my skills. Just kidding. :P
But if we did get tested a lot I would've gotten 100 plus extra credit instead of a 97.

Do you do rope climbing?

I know you'll do well in it! Running is pretty easy!...wow, some of the girls couldn't even do nine push-ups? That's pretty sad hehe....

You seem to be in pretty good shape. You've probably done better than a lot of the girls that were in my class for PE. I hate the sit and reach. It hurts my legs so! On top of that, we had to run the mile right after. I can't say that stretching to that degree helped me very much hehe...

Hmm, I have 3 electives next year. I really don't want to take band that much anymore, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to take art. (I've always wanted too!) Some other mandatory PE thing takes up one of those slots too, so there's only one left. I'm gonna have to think about it..

Me? In shape? Wow... I don't think so! I'm not really in shape... but not really out of shape either. I dance but that's about all the exercise I get. I'm almost positive I will fail the mile... running long distance is not something I am good at. I like the sit-and-reach. (AKA Flexibility test) It could be that I'm a girl though. Girls are usually more flexible than guys.

One of the only reasons I do better than a lot of the other girls in my gym class is because most of them don't care. They just don't care. They think they can blow of PE and still be ok. Some of them even skip PE and think our teacher doesn't notice. He DOES take attendance. But yeah, most girls are more worried about messing up their hair and stuff than passing gym. I don't want to fail gym. I may not LIKE gym but I sure don't want to fail due to laziness. And yes Jordan... most girls in my class could not do 9 push-ups. It is pretty sad considering I have little upper-body strength and I still got 13. I think I got one of the highest scores for girls in my class too. But like I said before... they just don't care...

My schedule has NO room for anymore electives. I take treble choir and Spanish and that's all that fits. My teacher actually signed me up for honors Spanish without having to discuss it with me! I was so scared she would complain about something. But yeah, PE takes up one block... but it's only 1/2 a year though so maybe I can fit a 1 semester elective it... but I like having extra study halls. PLUS another period gets taken up by my double chem lab next year... I hate my schedule. There is just no room for anything.

I had to disect a frog today in Biology class. This time I made my partner do most of the work since I'm always doing all the work. This time it was all done for us though since there were fewer frogs and we are the last class. :P In English we checked out Much Ado About Nothing today. In band, we talked about the band trip for next year, in Math we took a test, in History we learned about and watched a movie on World War 2, and in Art we painted. That was my day. All the classes I have in order except for Biology being last, not first.

Today i spent more then hlaf the day doing a landscape drawing cuase lost track of time and noticed my free period had been over for more then 3 hours!

^_^ I got a lot of stuff back today after missing [most of] two days of school. Plus, it was the last day before Spring Break. :3

Apparently, I'm getting 83 in art (which I do NOT agree with. I'll rant that off in my blog later tonight >\), 89 in science, and 94 in french. o.o My french teacher gave us the top 5 or so students in the class and I'm number one. ._.; It's kind of embarassing, but oh-so-great. >3

Ehh.. yeah. o_o; I'm really looking forward to the next week because I can get back all the sleep I've been missing lately. ^_^;

What's a sit-and-reach. Wow, hard to imagine anyone skipping PE. I wish I had it for the whole week. That's one of the two periods that I'm interested in. PE is just cool! Probaly cause I'm athletic.
