Those of you in school, those of you in college (like myself), and those of you who already graduated.

What subject(s) did you find to be the most boring? and which subject(s) did you find to be very interesting or even fun?

For me History has always been incredibly boring for me. Especially when I have to learn about how religion was formed because I never cared for it.
Oh and I hate Physics, because while the math is easy, I am horrible with theories. I can never be certain what theory applies to what situation and then I end up using the wrong equations.

I'm currently taking Psychology in college and it is so interesting and I'm loving it. I also absolutely love Math! Math is so much fun for me. Everything is already given to you and you just got to plug in the pieces to find the answer. Except geometry. Geometry can go die. Algebra, Trig, Calc all day lol.

English classes bore me, especially when I'm too lazy to write essays that are several pages long. I also wholehearlty agree with Geometry dying in a fire, because I find algebra, trig., and Calculus more interesting.

I recall back when I was in school, History was one of my most favorite subjects. I love dealing with the facts it has. As for subjects that I found to be boring, I would have to go with math, since struggled with it in both middle and high school.

History is one of the best and most important subjects and it pains me when people say they hate it.

Math is boring, but you can't really deny its usefulness.

I always found art and drama to be incredibly boring. I don't have a talent for the arts and never understood why it was a compulsory subject when I had no interest or potential whatsoever.

I just feel like History only causes more problems because people will never let go of the past.

The past should never be forgotten so that we do not make the same mistakes in the future.

If you or your family were victimized, refugees, or even killed, and you devoted the next few decades of your life teaching people about it, the causes and how we can prevent it, only to have somebody tell you to "let go" you wouldn't be impressed.

There are problems right now because people are fed up with repetitions of the past and want to create a more positive future.

I'm aware of the whole "so we don't repeat history" stuff. As if I haven't heard that argument several times in my life. History always repeats itself regardless of how much we learn from it. There's still war and violence going around no matter the era. Sure our ways of dealing with criminals has become less extreme but we still have mentally ill people going around killing others.

Plus even though slavery is abolished, there is still racism and bitter feelings all around because we learned about what our ancestors did to each other. If we were never taught about slavery as little kids, we wouldn't be growing up joking around or even resenting a certain race because of what they did to one another several decades and centuries ago.

I can understand why some people dislike it.

It wasn't until I went to college that I appreciated it. You need to have a good teacher in order to really appreciate it and take it seriously. Otherwise, you're not going to enjoy it unless you're interested in history on your own.

I tell you one thing, I absolutely detested English, ever since I started school. Hated writing boring essays all the time. I didn't like some parts of history but I loved learning about the ancient Egyptians, Romans, Vikings and Greeks. I also started to like science when we did some experiments.

    Most boring: English, Literature

Most interesting: Biology, Programming (pretty much any language), Physics

I just feel like History only causes more problems because people will never let go of the past.
    I'm sorry but... wat

    wat

I guess for some individuals some people take it too seriously but I have never heard of anyone really using history to "not let go of the past" outside of some very radical individuals. Most people view it as a curiousity.

English was my most favorite subject of all. The reason is because I love writing, and I know at times we did write a little. It also helped me become a better writer as time went on as well.

Science was okay though. I mean, I had little interest in biology and stuff like that... but it wasn't a horrible subject for me.

History was awesome for me. The reason for that is because my dad is a huuuuuge history buff. So, I learned a lot of great historical things from him. I grew up around his knowledge of that stuff as well.

Math... oh god, don't even get me started. I have the lowest grade level in math. I can't do math worth **** because it's just so awful. I hated math class more than anything in the world. =.=

I wanted to take Creative Writing in high school, but they didn't get enough people to sign up. So, then my second senior year, I go to a life skills program at a different school, they went and HAD the creative writing class. I was so pissed off.

I don't think I ever found any class to be interesting. However I just use math as my go-to answer because it used to be pretty easy/enjoyable to me, though not necessarily interesting. That was many moons ago though, math has been pretty mean to me lately.

English and Lit are my two favorites because I like to think I'm a good writer and I absolutely love to read, and we do read some good stuff in our lit classes. I also love learning about history as that stuff is just interesting to me.

yo **** off @ all science and maths though. I find them dreadfully boring.

When I was in school I loved history!! I always was one of the top students in the class for history every year :)

I also really enjoyed English and some science. I loved earth science and astronomy, but when it came to things like chemistry and biology I was bored to death.

My worst subject growing up was math. I find it incredibly boring and to be honest I find a lot of it to be pointless unless you have an interest in a career that requires advanced math. I think if the average person knows adding, subtraction, multiplication, and division they can get by in life just fine. Also I had to take 5 years of Spanish and I HATED it. In some ways I wish I had an interest so I retained the knowledge and could speak another language somewhat well, but I just found it so incredibly boring. I did like when we had "cultural" lessons in Spanish and we learned about the people and their customs rather than the language though.

I also had to take classes like art, music, gym. I always enjoyed art because I just find it fun to make things even though I'm TERRIBLE at it. In fact my senior year I took a ceramics and crafts class just so I could have fun and make things. Music was okay, but I was no longer required to take it past a certain year in middle school so I never bothered. And yeah gym lol. In my experience it depends who your gym teacher is. If your teacher just has you run laps every class THEN YES IT'S HORRIBLE, but I've been pretty fortunate and for most of my years I had teachers that actually taught us how to play certain sports and then make up teams and have us play. That was actually enjoyable.

I didn't find the subjects dull, so much as the way they were taught...I loathed art all throughout Primary School, because it was mind-numbingly tedious. I got to Secondary School and my double Art lesson became my favourite, because my teacher had a much better approach to it. I had similar troubles with Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography...it varied by teacher. If I liked the teacher, I found it much easier to concentrate and I enjoyed the lesson a lot more than I would have otherwise.

There was one exception to this: Physical Education. I have ALWAYS hated P.E. I hate sports, and being forced to do them for about an hour even once a week was intolerable. Swimming was fun; I loved swimming. Anything else? Nope. I frequently "forgot" my kit so I could spend the lesson sitting and watching - which was preferable! - and I never took part in Sports Day. My aversion to strenuous physical exertion continues to this day, some eight years after I've finished school. xD

I liked science and some technology classes. I can't remember what the specific names were for a few but they were to learn how to use Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. We also had Web Design one year and accounting but I despised accounting (more to do with my teacher shorthanding EVERYTHING and then getting angry when we use short hand on test). Biology and astronomy were some of my favorite classes but I had trouble remembering things in Chemistry and anatomy was interesting but our teacher was crap and would go off on 30-40 rants and then try to cram everything into a 20-30 minute class.

My hated classes were math, english, and history. It wasn't that I actually hated them but they were so.... boring or tedious. Math always had crappy teachers (except for college prob/stat but I don't remember much except that he was good looking), english was always full of papers about things I didn't care about, and history was just plain boring (Again, except for college. Good looking teachers really made class hard).

Another one I had was French and Spanish class. French was nice but the other students wouldn't do their work. Spanish had a teacher who tried to make everything a game, which was nice for the first month or so until you were forced to participate no matter what.

I also didn't like PE but that was because the teacher was a complete *****. Now that I'm out of school I don't mind most of the things we did in PE.

I really like math. It challenges me, and it makes me happy when I figure out all the problems in an assignment and score an awesome grade. There is a right way to do everything, and there is a correct answer to most things.

Unlike Danish, English, History, Social Studies and a bunch of other subjects. The more you talk out of your ass and use complicated terms and words, you'll get a good grade.

Okay, first things first, I don't actually hate history. History is actually fun when you'rr taught by a good teacher.

But I'll have to admit, History is one of the most painful subjects for me to learn about. Why? Because my country's history is so damn boring. No offense, I do love my country, but oh god. There were like, 20 or so religious kingdoms that we have to memorize, and then after all that **** we were immediately colonized by the Netherlands. And after independence, all we get was politics. ****ing politics. Wars and stuff like that are never touched upon, if they are it'll only be brief, so it becomes boring real quick.

Then again, we're only on our 69th year of independence.

But hey, I do love me my Maths and Chemistry, but damn I picked the wrong faculty to attend for college. What I was expecting was a whole bunch of calculations and stuff like that but no. The practicums are fun but all we did was weigh some ingredients and just mix 'em all up. Boo.

At least most of my friends agree that they miss calculating stuff.
