ELITE 4 & CHAMPION:
Tried grinding in Victory Road but quickly got bored, moved to Sky Pillar and it did speed up the process a bit, Nuzleaf finally got to evolve as well but also got bored. So I just get everything I can, Ice Beam taught to Walrein, Psychic taught to Claydol, Facade taught to Machamp, Aerial Ace taught to Sceptile, and from there its just constantly fighting and dying to the E4 as a way to get my team's level up. I don't have enough money to buy lots of healing items so unless absolutely necessary, I'm just brute forcing this itemless with only 3 Revival Herbs, 1 Revive, 2 Energy Roots, and 1 Hyper Potion...alongside the many PP items I obtained.
I am also just reminded of the 6 Rare Candies I got! (I say as I just got through Sydney).
The Sydney fight was the easiest, Sceptile absolutely breezed through everything here except Mightyena who I entered with Claydol to bait the Sand-Attack and Intimidate before switching to Machamp.
Phoebe is the second hardest, Shiftry can't one hit the ghost mons and the Dusclops were too tanky. The first Dusclop was easy but the second one I had to use my Walrein since only she can tank it's moves. The Banettes was easily handled by Shiftry and Sableye I switch into Claydol to do some damage with Earthquake before finished off using Sceptile.
Between here I used all my Energy Roots on Sceptile and Claydol.
Glacia is Machamp's warmup, Low Kick Oh-koing all her mons except Walrein. Since Machamp died to Hail just as Walrein came in, I sacked Shiftry so I can revive Machamp safely and 2 hit the Walrein for free since it kept using Sheer cold.
I actually hadn't gotten to Drake in my grinding run so it took me a second to come up with something, and then I look at Illumise. Charm the Shelgon to death and Encored it into Protect where Machamp came in, Bulk Up around 3 times and 2 shotting everything except Salamence who Walrein easily took care of.
Unfortunately by this point I ran out of healing items but I still do have my revives. I did NOT expect the battle to instantly start the moment you enter the Champion's room so, we ball. Illumise did some good damage to Wailord with Thunderbolt and using up Wallace's potion. Water Spout also missed thanks to Lax Incense so Illumise did great damage before going down and Sceptile finishes it off. Milotic came in, Sceptile can do good damage, Detect the Toxic and I didn't pay attention here but either it used Surf or Sceptile survives Ice Beam??? He got crit Leaf Blade so Milotic went down in two hits.
Tentacruel came in and decided I can do shenanigans with Machamp, bulking up as I switched it in so Tentacruel used Ice Beam, and then Facade Tentacruel, Whiscash, and Ludicolo in one shot. Unfortunately poison caught up just as Gyarados came in. Tried to stall with Claydol but it got one shot by Surf, brought Sceptile in and I revived Illumise as it got one shot by Hyperbeam.
Got the chance to do the funniest thing here. Sent out Illumise and Charm as Gyarados recharged but Encore failed next turn because it didn't use any move last round, thought I was a goner until it went for Dragon Dance. And the Star finished this challenge with 2 Thunderbolts to Gyarados!!

Comet the Sceptile - M - Overgrow - Sassy (Item: Miracle Seed) - Lvl. 54
Aerial Ace, Detect, Leaf Blade, Quick Attack
Thoughts: 8/10, Carried where it needs to carry, a solid team member throughout the entire thing, Grovyle had always been one of my favourite pokemon so happy I got to use this guy. Definitely rough in some places like Flannery and Winona but it really brought it all together in the end-game. Wish I had taught it Aerial Ace much sooner, don't know why I kept Pursuit for so long. Underrated starter, people should use this guy more compared to Mudkip and Torchic (Bias opinion).

Earth the Shiftry - M - Early Bird - Relaxed (Item: Black Glasses) - Lvl. 54
Faint Attack, Extrasensory, Fake Out, Bullet Seed
Thoughts: 7/10, MVP for the early games but having it as Nuzleaf for so long definitely didn't help it at all. It had some niche uses especially Bide with Wattson and a good help specifically for Phoebe but Sceptile just fills in that grass-type spot so much better and by the time it has a chance to fight in the Psychic gym, Sealeo and Sceptile kinda already overtook it. Still high score because early game would've been impossible without him (Even if that disobedience costed me the first two gyms). At least this gave me the experience of using Shiftry since I've wanted to use either this fella or Cacturne for awhile now in a playthrough.
Star the Illumise - F - Oblivious - Naive (Item: Lax Incense) - Lvl. 49
Encore, Thunderbolt, Wish, Charm
Thoughts: 10/10, I LOVE using Illumise so much, aside from being a great supporter, she was the only thing helping me get through the monstrous amount of water types that Sceptile nor Nuzleaf can fight through. She got me through so many tough situations and even though at first I thought she'd just be a support and nothing else, the Thunderbolt TM just shot her up to incredible degree. Other than Flannery, Tate & Liza, and Juan, she really got it all. I was honestly worried she wouldn't have time to shine in the E4 since I couldn't get a good timing in for the first three, so I was glad she could fire back in the last two fights. She really is the Star of this team.
Car. the Machamp - M - Guts - Calm (Item: Focus Band) - Lvl. 55
Low Kick, Facade, Bulk Up, Karate Chop
Thoughts: 9/10, Can't go wrong with raw power. I think it's funny that Guts was so useless throughout the entire thing, I even had burned him when getting ready for E4 only for it to be useless and then out of nowhere, it was Toxic from Tentacruel that made Machamp so overpowering. Unfortunate that he couldn't hit ghost types so he was unuseable againts them but he was an incredible attacker, especially paired with Illumise to help set him up with Bulk Up.
Sun the Claydol - ? - Levitate - Bashful (Item: Soft Sand) - Lvl. 50
Shadow Ball, Psychic, Hyper Beam, Earthquake
Thoughts: 6/10, I wish I can give this guy a higher score, but it just came at such an awkward time where the two gyms it would've been so useful on had passed. Sure it got through the poison and fighting types but there was no major fights that had both typing as it's main. It is still powerful though, managing damage with Psybeam for so long consistently and doing enough for the team but never to the point that I needed to switch into it. Earthquake and Psychic were strong neutral damaging moves but when push comes to shoves, they're not strong enough to faint a lot of things. Sorry Claydol. :[

Moon the Walrein - F - Calm (Item: Sea Incense) - Lvl. 54
Surf, Rest, Body Slam, Ice Beam
Thoughts: 8/10, Just another big fella and strong attacker, can't go wrong there, and FINALLY having a surfer. She's a long while to get to but she's so worthed for all her bulk and attack power, especially when it comes to fighting any mons that none of the other could fight againts. She didn't perform much in major battles since she's so late but what battles she has fought in is still great. Good defender, good damage dealer, and a friend. :]
Overall: A fun team honestly, it genuinely feels like a team a casual player would definitely have gotten in a normal run and the challenges they propose to the important battles felt like fun puzzles trying to figure out what each members do. For my guess, I had thought Devalue at first for the battle style but the Illumise specifically made me think of Janp and Explorer of Time since I feel like they'd use Illumise on one of their challenge runs.
So based on what I've found, I'll guess Explorer of Time :]
