Okie dokies, I shaved approximately 400KB off the image, should be a far cry more bearable for 56k users. (no worse than trying to view a large JPEG file. I interlaced it as well, so that cuts down on the loading time, as it loads like a progressive JPEG would. XD

Not that it really effects me, since I blocked the image after the first time I spent forever waiting for the page to load, but... 862KB still isn't that small. My connection speed is like 22KB/s, which would add another 40 seconds to loading time. Also, I've seen 1600 x 1200 wallpapers that are smaller than 800KB, so... unless you mean a very, very large JPEG file, that... isn't really a great comparison.

Anyways, is mine ok? The middle image is 400 pixels wide, and I set the water to 100% width, so it should all stay in the posts without any page-stretching or anything, unless I completely screwed up something. XD

My connection doesn't fare much better but you really only have to wait that long maybe three times at the most, before your computer caches it, then it loads seamlessly. People overlook that specific feature of browsers. (unless you've forced your browser to stop caching, then it's your own fault that you suffer slow speeds all the time)

Unlike most people, I run my signatures for at least a month before changing them out most of the time.
 
How much more pixels can go into my signature? Just wondering.

well, i never thought i would post here, but seeing as alot of the otehr signatures are smalle rthan mine, now im worried! D=

is my signature wihtin the limits?

if its not, thats okay. i was thinking about getting a new theme anyways
