Smoking

While in an MSN convo, a few others (mainly Nica and Zet) and I started to wonder..

Who in PC actually smokes/has smoked?

I haven't smoked and I never will, and plus, if I was ever offered I can say "I was born with a hole in the heart" even though it's probably like tiny/non existant nao. XD;

And yay for creating it.

Smoking is one of the greatest controllable risk factors today, and I really dislike the sight of people smoking. :/ Obviously, no, I don't smoke and never will.

I feel a little outnumbered saying this but yes, I did smoke cigars back when I was in the military. Yes, I regret it, yes I have quit since then, and no, I never intend to do it again.

It's rather depressing knowing most of your friends have smoked in the past and are starting to now, but I'm glad that I don't. I have a reason not to (along with not wanting to kill myself) and that's that I have asthma. So, yeah. It's a great medical reason to say 'I want outta here' when I see someone crack open a pack of cigarettes or anything like that.

After having to watch my Grandad die of both skin and lung cancer (he started when he was 12 until his death at 72) I've got a pretty good reason not to smoke.

Haven't smoked, don't smoke and don't plan to smoke. I hate it when people are walking down the street smoking and I'm there, forced to either look like an idiot holding my breath or inhaling their second hand smoke. This is also quite often outside a primary school that I walk past to get to school :/ That can't be moral...

I hope i never ever touch a cigarette. People want me to try, but i'm just "NO", :D. I don't want to get addicted, many people i know get addicted after their first smoke.

How quickly you get addicted depends soley on you. People say "I didn't get addicted on the first one! You'll be fine!" But that's a load of crap :) This goes with all drugs btw, not just tobacco. I'm stupid enough as it is, I don't need something to make me stupider :P

I don't smoke and never did consider doing so. It was mostly by the influence of my dad smoking ever since he was 14 years old and him quitting 25 or so years ago that persuaded me never to get into it, he's 75 years old at the moment, and he definitely wouldn't have lived this long had he not managed to quit.

I was put off the idea of smoking at a very young age...I saw what the inside of a smoker's lung looked like. So, no, I don't smoke, and I don't intend to make it a habit anytime soon.

I voted yes. Yes I've smoked passively. I'm currently underage and I don't plan on smoking in the future either since it's a health and money issue.

... I don't smoke though, but I may as well try a cigarette at some point in my life, I think I'd enjoy it but I wouldn't want to pick up the habit if I turned out not to... If I start smoking when I'm old already, no harm done.

Noooooo, I dont smoke and I nevr will, ever. Alot of people that I know of smokes cigaretees and weed and I dont want that to be me. Beisdes, in elementary didnt they show us what smoking does to our body.

True but then it's like those animal rights videos of factory farming. They receive an "ew" but it doesn't put most people off such meat.
