Changing this up​

Unfortunately it seems there's some difficulty in getting the D&B to work right now for everyone's schedules. Gonna change the challenge up and we'll do Dots later on.

Now you'll be playing GeoGuessr!

This is a challenging game based on real world locations. You'll be plopped onto the map via Google Street View and have to decipher your location! You can move around and inspect for clues, then dot your location and see how close you were!

You'll have a maximum of THREE attempts to submit here. Each time you submit a score, your previous score will become null. Your final score of the three will be your submitted score, so be sure you're making improvements before submitting.

At the end of the challenge time, each team's total score will be added and the team with the highest total will win!

Hopefully this one is a bit easier for everyone to manage. Good luck!

Just for the record: you shouldn't be Googling places or signs to find the locations. Ulli: I can see in your tabs a Google Maps for a location, so I don't think I can use your results. You should ONLY be using the GeoGuessr tab. Nowhere else.

me after spending the last hour racking up a bomb score using incredibly vague environmental context clues and google maps to hone in on the exact location I landed only to find out this:

In other news I now know a rural part of Ivancice, Czech Republic like the back of my hand. And all I have to say is ALL YOUR BUILDINGS LOOK THE SAME AND PLEASE MARK THE NAMES OF YOUR GODDAMN STREETS.

Also there is so much SOUL CRUSHING VAST EMPTY SPACE IN THE WORLD​

All of them gave me no road signs at all apart from the fourth one, which gave me Scarborough!
Scarborough is the real mvp :D

Two of them were literally in the middle of nowhere though and I got those completely wrong.

I learned that the Scandinavian countries have white dotted lines on the outside of their roads as opposed to in the middle! xD

And Kiyo, I got a few places that were pretty barren with virtually no signs to guess off of.

MY KARMA MUST'VE BEEN DEPLETED ON THE AMOUNT OF LUCK I JUST SPENT I LANDED IN ALL ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES (sans that one instance where I was in a goat-infested desert that had Russian on the signs and apparently it was Mongolia)

My last two places literally landed me next to signs that told me nearby landmarks they were right near in America. Thank you so much Agua Caliente Park and Melvern, Kansas. <3

Yeah the south american ones are really hard, especially because there's a possibility it's Spain and if you choose the wrong side you get 0 points ><

The number of times I'm getting places in the middle of nowhere is insane. Either that or it puts me inside some building with nowhere to go ;;

Ok was hoping to do better than this but my internet has decided it doesn't want to load the website anymore gg

Struggled with this, the amount of times I went "Oh yes this is Russia...but what side of Russia?" or "Oh yes this looks like America...but what part of America?" and chose the wrong side and got some crazy low amount of points was ridic. Wish they had more Asian locations on there, I only had a couple shots from Japan and one from India in the 129370 tries I had :P edit: oh and one from Indonesia!

Hopefully I can do better if there's still time!
