Stardew Valley

Yeah... the Festivals aren't really fun or interesting. In fact, if you were to completely take them out of the game it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

Apparently I'm 17.7 hours into the game and I've barely done any actual farming. For the most part I've been exploring the mine and clearing out my farm. And yet I've still had more fun with this game than almost any other game I've had in a long time. I don't know what it is but it's really, really charming.
 
I am now mid-winter, I unlocked the carts, it helps a lot!!

I am in level 85 in the mine.
3 chickens and one cow, I try to earn some money before I can built a bigger coop and a bigger barn. I still have a lot to do on my field, but I need money first. I want a lot of money for the first day of spring, I want to buy so many seeds. I've updated my house, my axe and my watering can.
 
Hum guys, I don't know for you, but my game crash at level 120 in the mine. It's been two time. So mining has to stop for me :/
 
i used to just water my crops and then sleep for 22 hours like any other normal person but now i took on the responsibility of raising chickens and i have to stay up all day so i can let them in and out of their coop and keep them fed :P kind of boring though just standing around or fishing all day, not sure what to do.

I just plant some grass in near the coop and I let the door open so thyey go out, eat and go back inside without me :P
I love mining, you should try :3 You can make money in there.


I haven't played much lately. I discovered a glitch I could use to make so many money easily!! But it kinda killed the game, as it is too easy now... and my mine is crashing at level 120 and mining is what I loved the most :(

I think I'll just build a barn, unlock some animals, and get married.

i have put about 50 hours (and counting) into this game according to Steam.. i'm nowhere near marriage and i don't even have a BARN yet. help.

Stardew Valley is pretty much everything i've ever wanted out of a Harvest Moon game but just... more. the pixel art style its developer went with just adds to my praise, since that's the most visually appealing art style to me. the reason i've played this game so much is because it's so incredibly relaxing and gives my brain plenty of pleasant tasks to focus on. there's so much to do that i'll still be gathering up hours on Steam after this post doing everything the Valley has to offer. ConcernedApe is a pure genius.

$15 for this game is almost cold-blooded thievery.

That's a pretty odd glitch. Have you tried verifying the install? Maybe a file is missing or something went wrong with the install.
 
Okay I'm about halfway through spring of the second year. I've almost got married and right now I only have... like one cow and a small Garden. I'm a pathetic farmer. ;-;

Once you fix up that greenhouse(if you haven't yet), use ancient seeds and rake in that $$$. Soon you'll be the best farmer ever. :3
 
I have been obsessed with this game for the past few days. @_@ I'm currently in summer, with decent sized crops and two chickens. Just learned that the sprinklers I got only water the four spaces around it, which is pretty frustrating since I've tilled a pretty big space of land, so I'm working to unlock the 24 tile sprinkler. Or marry someone so they can help me with the farmwork. Whichever comes first :P

Later in the game you can get sprinklers that water up to 24 spaces... but they do cost a lot.

I have been spending a lot of time fishing so I could restore the Aquarium and I finally finished that project tonight 8) I was really curious as to what removing that boulder did, and now that I know,

Anyways, I am about 2/3rds of the way through Fall of my second year and hoping to build a barn by the time Winter arrives. I just obtained my first upgraded coop so I plan on buying ducks when I resume playing tomorrow.

I have over 24 hours put into this game and I'm only in the end of the first year. TONS of stuff to unlock. I have not even dug in deep into the game yet. It's almost better than Harvest Moon series. Lot of similar elements to it, but the pixel art is so amazing. Not to mention it was one person who made it then a publisher, I wouldn't even wait for it to go half price, its worth it... oh, but fishing is a challenge <.<

I've read that's an error when you got the bottom of the mine..


Oh, and yeah.... I am 22 of spring, year 2.
I can't go to sleep without having my game crash... I don'T know why.. I might be acheiving something like farming or wathever... (I am level 9 in each) I've read the game crash at level 10 of fishing....

So I might have to stop playing soon...


But hey, I'll buy the game and then I might be fixing the glitches. I'll try before, but I can't find a good patch :/
 
The Greenhouse is definitely the biggest money maker - I filled half of it with ancient seeds and half cranberries, it's literally the only thing I need now for income and everything else on my farm is just for show, lol.

Other big changes - I've married Sebastian (what a twist) and unlocked all bundles save for Bulletin and Fish Tank (I really suck at fishing)! I'm afraid I'm going to run out of things to do soon, haha. I guess I should finally try to get past level 10 of the Skull Caverns, but man, it's brutal. I don't know how people reach the bottom there in a day, there aren't even elevators. D:

I'm not sure about the other crashes, but the mining one does seem to be an issue with non-Steam versions of the game, according to the Chucklefish forums - something about the game trying to give you a Steam achievement, I think. I've reached the bottom of the mines with no issues.

That's why I want to buy it soon. Sad that I'll have to start again but hey at least I know how to achieve things so it will be faster.


I am a noob at all of this steam stuff, if I do a steam account on my laptop and then I'll switch to a desktop, will I loose my game? Or I can continue everywhere I go?

I just saw that thread! I wish I could enter, but My farm doesn't look good at all...
That's not something I focus on. I might do it in my new game, but it's not for today xD

I can't wait to see the results! Good luck everyone! :3
