Steve Jobs or Bill Gates?

A good deal for one may not be a good deal for someone else.

As for this being here, it's unnecessary. This kind of thread, though inspired from a comment I made in one of your threads, belongs in the Computers and Technology forum. I think that's rather obvious, so that's where it's going to be.

As for me, I prefer Jobs.

Did you know that they're actually good friends, those two lol

and I like Bill Gates. He's giving 98% of his fortune to poor people when he dies :] and he's such a simple man. He doesn't flock his cash or anything.

Good guy.

I don't know why I'm going with this but I prefer Bill Gates.
seeing as most of my technological enhances like my Computer, my xbox 360 and all my software stuff for
my computer and that are mainly all Microsoft and I kinda always seen it known more than others.
I also would like to thank him for all his Creations =]

If I'm reading what you said correctly, I'm pretty sure you mean you prefer Bill Gates over Steve Jobs. Considering Steve Jobs is from Apple, not Microsoft. :/

I prefer Bill Gates but Steve Ballmer ain't my hero.

Seriously I ain't going with an OS that's more vulnerable than Windows.(Yeah it's been confirmed that Windows is more secure than the Mac)

As much as I love OS X and my iPod, Steve Jobs comes off a little harsh and unbending to me. Not to mention, but Bill's a philantropist, so it'd probably be Bill Gates.

Bill Gates because he is a good man and I love his computer stuff.

Jobs encourages his company to do anything it can to suppress freedom and rape their customers' wallets. DRM would not exist if not for Jobs.

Gates has his own charity foundation that helps thousands of people in need.

I think the choice is obvious.

ha ha, I see what you did thar. But I'm no fan of the guy~
Why not? Torvalds is the polar opposite of RMS; he's outgoing, helpful, and best of all, sane. He doesn't try to shove "freedom" down peoples' throats like RMS does.

BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL *Shot*
Anyway, take out the loving OSX and you've got what I think about the subject.

Bill. Steve hypes up his products too much.

Jobs is a controlling, cocky, smug jerk who is worshiped and exalted by Apple fantards simply because he's the head of Apple.

Gates seems to be a nice, personable guy in interviews and such, is extremely generous to charity, and isn't so cocky and condescending as Jobs is. So out of the two I definitely prefer Gates.

Can you guys answer three questions...
1. Why does Jobs act like such a narcissistic douchebag?
2. Why are Apple products so inflexible?
3. Why are Apple users so cultish about their products?

Agreeing with ^ and ^^.

:( Jobs is probably an okay guy and he's just doing what I'd probably do in his place (hey, if people are gonna throw money at him... he must be doing something "right"!) but Gates donates tons to charity every year and has always come across as very humble. He doesn't have to be constantly out there flogging his products like Jobs does so he just comes across as the less douchey guy.

I'll go with Gates.

I prefer Gates. Apple products are nice, but I can't get them.

Also, Gates is a lot more humble and active in his community and charities. So... I have to go with him.
