THOUGHTS ON THE LIST SO FAR: I have one. "The Boys of Summer" is a fucking amazing song. one of my unashamed guilty pleasures, insofar as you could call it that, considering there is zero shame. the only good thing anyone associated with the Eagles ever shat out. ( ;

NOTES ON MY THREE: the Pulp track is the best Britpop thing by quite a wide margin. brilliant tune, and I've listened to it so many times in the past couple weeks. the Girls song has been a permanent summer staple for me for at least four years. just a great, tight jangly pop tune for a Faux-Hip Generation. [if you will.] the last one is a weird lo-fi post-punk proto-hypnagogic washed out sunny track from the early '80s with a tinge of melancholy running thru its late afternoon sweaty mid-summer vibe. a really, really great track. hope you enjoy.
