Tales of Symphonia

Do you have Origin already? Eh, when I spoke with the book, I got warped into it. It was the most annoying part of the game, but your characters level up *a lot*. ^_^

For that book, I always chose that option where you can't use the status menu. I tried fighting with one character alone and when that Medusa thing stoned me it was game over. Made me pissed off...
 
Mmm-hmm. Everything happened, even the Derris Kharlan planet thingy. And that's one of the reasons why I want to do it, hehe; I love the challenge! Bring 'em on!
 
You got the sacred stone from the Derris Kharlan puzzle right (like you have the future stone, past stone, and stuff like that, right?)? You need that in order for the Elf to appear.
 
The mine? You mean the mine where you get the inhibitor ore? I think 30's to 40's should be sufficient. I'm actually not sure as I didn't train at all through that part of the game (not until just before fighting Botta and Yuan).
 
I never spend my grade. o.o; I'm saving it for end-game, I guess. I'm not sure how easy it'll be to build it up in the end, so I don't wanna risk it.
(Yes, I started playing again. XP I'm at the mine for the ore for Presea.)

Yeah, I'm seriously saving up my grade this time around. In my last game, I used all of my grade to buy items so I could sell them to buy tons of Black Onyxes for my characters, so by the time I had finished the game, I barely had enough grade to get anything. x_x

Heh, once I beat this game, I'm going to buy more stuff to bring into my new game, ESPECIALLY the one that makes it so that you get max experience.

I started using Presea once she got her personality back, and Zelos gets funnier as time goes by. XP
 
Nah, I'm going through the Tethe'alla base. ^^;
It's a bit ahead of that part. You might want to try to equip Lloyd with an EX Gem level 2 and set it to personal so you can run faster.
 
Yeah. I told Protoman where to get the EX gem 2. O, if you didn't know, you can disable the trap near the spinning thing guy. lol

Nick, still, the 1000 grade at the end sure is good. :P

Kairi, no, grade doesn't accumulate any faster later in the game. However, the second time through (and you purchase the "grade" for 100), you can get up to 20 grade per battle instead of 10 (it's just what you get and then they multiply it by 2). Apparently it's easier to get full grade (20) the second time through for some reason. But only in boss fights tho...
 
Ahh. I kinda wanted to buy the titles EXP, grade and recipes my first time completing them. Unrealistic? ^_^;
Also just started gettign EX Gems lvl 4, was wondering if anyone had suggestions for which combo EX skills I should use. Using Presea, Lloyd, Zelos and Colette. ^^;
 
I never managed to get 20 grade for any battle. I had almost 5000 grade by the end of my second playthrough. I noticed when you purchase some stuff...some of the others become N/A to purchase. That's kinda' annoying. I was imagining if they allowed you to get EXP 10 and EXP 2 :O*** 20X experience!

I always put Zelos in my team, he's so funny. I'm refraining from using Lloyd, so my team is only using characters from Tethe'alla. O_O; Presea says: "DIE." to enemies. Zelos: "Not the face!" ahahaha...^_^

Well, I want to use Kratos instead of Lloyd this time around, but since Kratos cannot be played for a while in the game (not telling why, so I don't spoil it for people), I just stick to Lloyd. =\ could always use the others, but I don't really like them. >>;

Also, for anyone who's interested, I heard that the best place to get grade in battles is around the first area in the game. I don't really know why, though. o_O;
 
I feel best using Presea. Dunno why, at first I find her pretty hard to use, but I just seem to fight best with her. I actually use all four of her directional shortcuts, and she doesn't feel as clumsy as Lloyd. Dunno.
 
Presea is really strong, she can Guard Break the enemies easily. Each of the characters have their advantages and disadvantages...Regal is difficult to use, so far I've won at Meltokio with all the characters except for him. (Yes...and when I used Raine, I barely had time to cast magic, so I relied on her whacking her opponents, same with Genis, those were slow and annoying matches.)

Yep, Iselia Forest is the easiest place to get grade!
 
I don't really like the game.
