Team Star: We’re gonna fight their vehicles, and not just their mons?

    According to various very recent articles about people who have tried out small demos of the upcoming games, and they revealed this, albeit with not much explanation or detail.

    Everyone's going on about the whole optional npc battle thing, but not much on this for some reason. I really don't know why.

    That said, let's use this as discussion and speculation about what we know of this whole Team Star thing reveal so far. So what do you all think? So according to what I have heard, you can enter a base by any means, and you must use the new auto battle feature and defeat many opponents under a time limit (I hope there is some control here, like being able to withdraw your mons at any point) and then you defeat the boss, then their vehicle.

    I-I didn't make this thread because of an interesting idea I had in mind for my eventual comic for my playthrough.
     
    While the people who previewed could not say, it is sounding like it's true. I think we may battle the leader/admin, and then battle their car Pokémon as the final phase. I think it will be good! Some preview articles/videos have said Team Star stuff seemed good and they look forward to doing the rest. I think Team Star will be viewed better than Team Flare and Team Skull for sure.
     
    My biggest fear is that we'll just spam the auto-battle button until there are generic Team Star Grunts and then just beat their admin and vehicle in regular Pokémon battle. At least that's what it looked like in the overview trailer.

    I hope there is more substance to this, but since this is GF game, I don't expect anything more.

    Me either, honestly. I don't expect it to be much more than that.
     
    I do think the thing on Team Star's vehicle is a Pokemon, in some way. We'll just have to wait for the games to come out to see, though.

    Must be after the normal trainer battle. Stomped Mela's Torkoal with Armarouge, supposedly. Still seemed positive about dealing with Team Star. Could be comprised of more Pokemon than just the motor Pokemon.

    I also was gonna say maybe you have to attack various parts of the car sort of like Final Fantasy or so does with their bosses.
