    Pokecommunity, this place needs more topics. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. But it's okay, I'm gonna make a topic about noises.

    Everyone has that one they hate. Is it a crying baby? A bad guitar player? Maybe how that one freshman sort of squeaks when he talks? Don't worry -- he won't read this.

    Remember, don't be dirty, unless of course you have to.
     
    The sound of scratching those holographic cards. The sound of bad singers. The sound of ghetto people talking. The sound of the TV crackling. The sound of airplanes starting up. The sound of a crying baby. The sound of my computer if the fan gets loud (man that scares me).

    Ugh, there are so many noises that Irritate me. It would take hours to list them all.

    One sound that really annoys me though is TV static. All the TVs we have at my house are really old, and I have to work with them a lot, so... Yeah.
     
    I really dislike loud noises like an air plane landing or when the TV is too loud.
    But I also dislike noises in an otherwise quiet room, like flushing the toilet.
    I also dislike sudden but short sounds like closing the door.

    There's a lot of sounds I dislike now that I think about it...
     
    There's two particular sounds that drive me crazy. First is wet splorpy chewing from people loudly chomping with their mouths open, which is caused from misophonia. Basically, whenever I hear that particular sound, I get filled with anger, rage, and supreme discomfort. I have to cover it up somehow to prevent myself from hearing it, either that or I get the desire to punt the person creating it across the galaxy. I don't want to have to punt anyone, so I choose the former.

    The second sound that I abhor is my fiancee's mother. She has the most annoying voice in existence, and on top of that she doesn't know how to speak in anything less than a scream. It still gets worse... she has a habit of suddenly screaming as loud as possible from behind a door, with no warning at all, forcing me to want to grab a baseball bat and bludgeon the source. When she speaks, my ears scream in pain. When I hear her in the distance... the day becomes cold and gloomy. Death is preferable to listening to her for any length of time.
     
    Speaking of TV's, I hate the high-pitched hum that a CRT unit makes. It's fine if it's in a fairly loud place where it can be drowned out, but in a quiet room it drives me insane. (not to mention CRT's work with black magic)

    And then there's the one time I randomly came across a PAL television that somehow made it into the country and it made a very slightly lower-pitched noise. I couldn't get that out of my head at all.

    I hate most sounds such as motorcycles, thunder, sirens, babies crying/kids screaming... just to name a few I'm autistic lol sue me. I also hate when people yell at me because it makes my ears scream, and it causes me to get really upset.
     
    Crying baby, nails on chalkboard, fork that scratches a plate wrong, dog barking for more than 2 mins, the old computer noises, when my old desktops fan went to fast and it made that noise that made me think it was gonna blow up and bad music. Pretty much all those sounds and much more i cant stand nor can i hear them without my ears feeling in pain lol. Oh and those old tvs with he static with the volume all the way up omg thats anooying and the public service announcent sounds so annoying! Lol now im babbling just to list a few though :)
     
    Oh man, where do I start

    Cutlery on plates, yelling, high pitched voices, frog croaks, heaps loud music, dripping taps, swear words, nail files, nails on chalkboards, squeaky shoes, scraping ladders, ringtones, coughing, sneezing, blowing noses, peeing, (YES THAT'S A SOUND AND IT'S SO ANNOYING) chewing, sniffs, sobs, chokes, broken anything and last and and certainly not least....

    ...RADIO ANNOUNCERS!!!! When they say stuff like 'Gee Barry, I sure didn't know that Lady Gaga had a boob job. Lemme guess, you got a real close up on your last interview, huh? What a dog! AWOOOOOOO woof woof BOW BOW' and "I sure did, Gary! She was a TIGRESS. Tried to get into mah PANTEEESSSS YOWCH" I mean, it's just stupid, annoying, useless and it clogs your brains with pathetic idiots talking about celebrities and singers body parts.
     
    50% of the time my shower makes this high-pitched squealing sound. It can happen literally at any moment. I just want to take a peaceful shower.

    Also, scratching surfaces, like chalkboards, but what about these:

    People who make disgusting noises while eating. I once dated someone who ate like a fucking demon and it was annoying. I never said anything to them because you literally couldn't bring up the things they did wrong to them without them getting defensive x10, but I remember my parents used to talk to me when I was alone and they'd be like "umm does the kid have parents?" so embarrassing god.
     
    Just imagine a large piece of metal slid across the floor to mimic a train hitting the brakes at high speeds.

    And there are two types of motorcycle sounds; the little ones that make a high pitched revving sound that can be heard even on the moon. I hate that one, but I love the thrum of a V-Twin.

    And whatever is on the radio these days, because all I hear is radio blah-blah.
     
    There are too many, and often I can't identity it until I actually hear it. Usual culprits are the sound of rubbing or scratching felt, or rubbing across a slightly coarse surface. Also my sister's ex boyfriend was the worst thing ever to have to listen to.

    I can listen to a really grating noise for quite a long time... but a babies' cry? OH GOD NO.

    Sad babies. lol I dunno. Not like an annoying "I'm stuck on a plane" cry. It's like... I dunno. Sad babies XD Like in movies.

    It just makes me real sad real quick
     
    Agreed with everyone who said eating noises. Chewing with your mouth open? Smacking your lips? Slurping your soup? I will get annoyed extremely quickly.

    Whistling will drive me up the wall pretty quickly too. My dad is the type of person that will just randomly start whistling all the freaking time while he's doing random things and if I'm around him I have to leave the room before I go through the ceiling.
