So what are the best Poekmon Battles of each region?

I dont really keep track of the anime episodes and have just been mainly watching eps on and off when I come across them.

So I was wondering from the more versed watchers what are the highlight battles from each series that have been committed to memory?

I'm not a versed watcher at all but my all time favorite is the battle in the beginning of Pokemon: The first movie when Ash and Pikachu battle a stranger. It's nothing spectacular but it was exciting as an opening accompanied by seeing them on the big screen.

Honestly, there are too many important battles to remember. Personally, I'd go with Ash's battles against Pyramid King Brandon because it showed how determined Ash was to beat said Frontier Brain. Ash's Sinnoh League battle with Paul is a close second.

Dude I totally agree with you my fav battles are those that kick off the Pokemon Movies. Music blasting and gets you super excited


as for animes.

Id say Ash vs Gary in the Johto league was one of the best

still looking for ash vs paul episode.

I'm just too lazy to write it out in that format and try to remember every single battle but I'll mention my all time favourite.

My all time favourite battle that took place in the anime would have to be the May vs Drew battle that took place in the Kanto Grandfestival between "Thinning the Hoard" and "Channeling the Battle Zone."

It was very intense, the pokémon were great, I loved that collision between May's Squirtle and Drew's Flygon. The combinations were great too, Flygon and Absol's move looked super immence, and I liked how May took Tuckers idea and used it to her advantage making that fire water move thingee. It was just totally epic.

Best battles so far that I have seen is a few in BW(Don't want to give spoilers but a Dento battle), Ash and Paul, also Drew and May. All of those battles where really exciting and got me pumped. Not to mention Zoey and Nanado or however you spell it.

hmm.. Thanks for the Drew vs May battle suggestion. Never saw that ep at all...going to look for that ep to watch now...

This thread is basically for recommendations of good battles for people to watch, so if theres a battle that people thought were particular awesome just post them here if it hasnt already been mentioned..

I can't be bothered compiling a comprehensive list as you have, but the first thing that comes into my head was the Ash vs Gary battle in the Johto league championships. Mainly because of the rivarly, the build up and how epic the actual fight was.

Two others that also stick to me are Ash vs Drake in Orange Islands (we get to see a Dragonite go mental) and Ash vs Paul just recently.

In my mind, the best battle in any episode of Pokemon Anime was Ash's Charizard vs Harrison's Blaziken

My best friend and I watched that battle over and over. He liked Charizard more but as you could tell I liked Blaziken.

Of course Blaziken won, no doubt.

Sorry cba listing them in the formal way but I really liked the Ash vs Gary and Ash vs Harrison Johto league battles, Ash vs Tyson Heonn league, Ash vs Paul (6 on 6 and Sinnoh league battle) and Ash vs that guy with the Raichu in Sinnoh.
