The Brotha-hood of da Supporter

Maybe that would feel safer if we were pink..... bright pink, the blinding type of pink, even on a dark style.

Yaaaaay! Pink <33 I totally want the supporter color to be pink. Although the current blue is very beautifully divine, it's too close to the mod's steel blue so yeah....sometimes noobs think we're like junior mods. >_>
(true stuff, I actually had a noob ask me if I was that via PM.)

as blue has been the original supporter color for years!!

Actually it been only a little over a year or so since we turned Blue. When I first became a supporter the color was Purple, and I've heard that a number of years ago the supporters were green, but that was before I even joined.

Yeah, I remember when supporters were pepperoni purple ;_; I personally loved that color. Some random noob with the name Lucario could impersonate Steve and that would be fun to watch.

Lol I liked the purple too...a lot less noobs mistook us for moderators then. X3

Though I did like the purple because it could scare some of the denser noobs because they thought we might be the secret staff. XD
(true story, back when we were purple I got a PM from a random noob asking if we were secret staff. Of course I told him we werent but I Imfao'ed for about 30 minutes. XD)

ITT not being allowed to say I'm not a cliquey person because that is ~obviously~ a lie

I never did donate for myself, Charliezard did so while donating for heaps of other members at the time. It was a time of mass donating, if I remember correctly.

lol.

Such a random act of kindess. \o/ He must have been feeling generous

PC is an awesome place though...and being a supporter is awesome too since it's got some neat perks now. It didn't used to have any other perk aside from a colored, italic name. xD

*shrugs*

That's something that happens sometimes. I don't think any of us intend to be elitist, but it does happen on occasion. I know sometimes people can look at another's actions and misread them as elitism out of jealousy but this isn't always common. It all depends on how the regular user feels, and usually if they maturely assess their own feelings, which they manage to do usually...they dont see elitism. I will say that some newbies who just gained their supporter stripes tend to preen and strut, but that wears off once they've been a supporter a while. I think the elder supporters should definitely discourage that sort of behavior but it's not like we're all on the same page so eh.

To be honest I'm not actually sure why I donated, but I do like the different name color... makes me feel a lil' bit special haha. I don't feel elite, or any more elite then I may have felt already... but its just contributing to a great site, or Rukario's college fund XD jk jk peoples.

When I donated it was with birthday money, and I did because... well I had nothing else really to spend on. XD And PC is a big part of my life, so I figured donating would be something good to sort of thank it. But I never thought I was becoming some kind of exclusive cool super-member or something. :/ We're just like the members, just with italic usernames.

Also, I WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE THOUGHT I WAS A MODERATOR. I feel left out. ;;

The revival rule in this forum makes me feel awkward.

Post in TCTI enough and you'll get an old member come back randomly (from 2007, aka, purple usernames) and assume everyone's a mod. Or you at least. Depends who's around at the time.

Cause that happened to me with Scythe, only situation for me.

The revival rule in this forum makes me feel awkward.

One time I revived a thread in this forum without realizing I was doing it and got depressed the rest of the day because I couldn't delete the post, until I realized the rule didn't apply here. I still felt depressed though because I had failed to notice I was reviving. XD

Also why am I posting so much in this board tonight? I need to post somewhere that's active. XD

I never revive dead threads!

/is a good girl.

Then again I may post after SOMEONE ELSE has without noticing, so yeah :(

I hate when I post after someone who revived a dead thread D: And I do it a lot (Well, a lot for what it is...I've done it like twice in total).
And, I feel better than everyone else whether I'm a supporter or not, partly cuz I am.

As a supporter myself, I have to say that the majority of supporters are much more mature than the standard members in some ways, and more childish in other ways. They appear mature in the sense that the majority of supporters (not all of them) are able to carry out less flame-y arguments than the rest of the members.

They're childish in my eyes as well. I see some supporters who believe that they have some sort of superiority over non-supporters because they've got a different styled username and access to more privileges, thereby making them "cooler", somehow. Some also believe that the majority of non-supporters are "noobs", which is untrue.

These views of mine do not encompass all supporters, though. They only represent the supporters I've witnessed, and what I feel this usergroup's attitude and behaviour is like.

Yes, because we have blue, italic names we're much better than everyone else at this forum.

I like the fact that my name is pretty and blue, but other than that I didn't really notice until I got a lot of PMs going OH MY GOD YOU'RE A SUPPORTER! and I was like...my PayPal balance thanks you for that clever deduction, young sirs and madams :'D

But yeah, supporters are as hit and miss as everyday PC users, I think...? The only thing that really comes out is that 99% of supporters tend to be older, as that means they have their own PayPal/disposable income. And important essays which they are avoiding.
