They're even more rare in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. They're only on some floors in the Joyous Tower, and almost impossible to find. I once played through PMD:RRT on Visual Boy Advance, and I had to use Gameshark codes to survive in the Joyous Tower. But even then, I couldn't find a single Chansey or even Blissey, and had to resort to Jirachi to obtain them.

Man... I've never even attempted Joyous Tower, at least I don't think. xD

Out of curiosity, which codes did you use? I heard that dungeon was ridiculously hard ahaha.

I used the recruit all Pokemon code, which puts the stairs in the first room of every floor you enter, and allows you to recruit any Pokemon without a pre-evolution. Additionally, I used the all items code, which puts every item in the game in Kangaskhan's store.

4 (I don't dislike Tangela).

I couldn't even beat Wish Cave, let alone Joyous Tower. D: And don't get me started on Purity Forest! I couldn't bring myself to cheat either (though I am guilty of using Wonder Mail) so I doubt I'll ever complete any of them. ;~; If I have the time to restart PMD:BRT I may try again, with all the luck I can get. Really psyched for Super Mystery Dungeom, though! :D

I hate level 1 dungeons in general. But Purity Forest is the worst one, as you can't take any items with you, you can't recruit any Pokemon there, and you have to go there to recruit Celebi.

I'm on the same boat. xD While I do love (almost) everything about Mystery Dungeon, I'm usually in it for the story and the playable Pokémon. I'm definitely no good at those extra challenges, eheheh. But yes! I can tell that SMD is gonna be really amazing! :D

Dang, I haven't even attempted Zero Isle, but it seems that the extra dungeons in the Rescue Team games are much more brutal than those of the Explorers games. If I recall correctly, the first games had by far the most dungeons with 99 floors, and I only ever remember beating the Lugia dungeon. ;_;

Speaking of 99 floor dungeons, the Buried Relic was the easiest one for me, I don't really know why. But trying to get Mew was a pain. I played through the game twice with Gameshark codes, and it never showed up. Then I played through it without using said codes, and one day I got lucky and finally recruited it. But then I activated Gameshark codes in the same playthrough to get through the level 1 dungeons.

What are you guys talking about? :O

We're talking about the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series! You should really try it, as the gameplay and story are great! You basically play as a Pokémon instead of a Trainer, and you can recruit your favorites to your team throughout the game! For more information, see this article:

There's a lot of action and exploring involved :D

Oh, I think I remember beating that one as well! However, it was a total pain, and recruiting Mew was the most awful experience for me, ahahaha.

6 Oh yeah I heard of those! Playing as a pokemon would be neat x3

Not only that, you can't take teammates along and your IQ is reset! Talk about a test of endurance, huh. Plus, I really love Celebi and want one really bad haha. ;A; I hear you gotta rely a lot on luck when you're trying to beat it, like finding the right items and not running into traps/monster houses. Of course, choosing the right Pokemon to enter with the right moves would contribute to making the dungeon just that little bit easier.

Me too, because no matter how many times I replay the games, I never tire of the story lines since they're just that good! Maybe one day when I'm brave enough I'll try to beat every last dungeon. ^^

Zero Isle South and Destiny Tower are the toughest dungeons in Explorers, I believe, much like Purity Forest. I haven't tried the Zero Isles either, but if you want the Amber Tear of Golden Mask (which are very valuable items!) then you've gotta complete West and North. :p North may be beatable with a team of level 100 Pokemon, since you can bring items and allies, thankfully, and it only has 75 floors... but the Pokemon there reach level 90! :o

IIRC Lugia was at the end of Silver Trench, and yeah, I finished that one too. c: In fact, that and the Buried Relic were the only 99 floor dungeons I ever completed hehe. ^ ^;

I struggled with the Buried Relic on my first playthrough because of those damn traps, but I agree that it is one of the easier ones. I never focused on finding and recruiting Mew but I think I accidentally got him to join my team. xD

My bad for the extra long post. :x

I used Wonder Mail codes to get my Golden Mask or Amber Tear on my Explorers games. And the Zero Isles and Destiny Tower don't have any Pokemon you can only obtain there. So you don't really have to go there.

I suppose you don't have to, but personally I find it more fulfilling to go through the challenge in order to obtain rare items/Pokemon even though that's a little hypocritical of me.

I really, really like the Mystery Dungeon series. It's just a really neat concept and it's rather fun being Pokemon (who'd have thunk it?). The personality test is awesome xD I've yet to play the new ones though ;-;

The personality test was one of my favourite parts. xD I think they got rid of that, though. :(

My sister owns Gates to Infinity but I haven't had a chance to play it either. Can't wait to get my hands on Super Mystery Dungeon though! c:

Chansey is one of those Pokémon I've never recruited there. They were only somewhere around the fiftieth floor and I don't think I've ever went higher than floor 15, to take back three recruits.

They're the most annoying dungeons. It takes a lot of time to raise your Pokémon to a nice level and that just ruins it completely. I tried it a few times, but never made it very far. Not even close. A challenge is nice however, but it's not something for me.

Oh yes, I remember that one. Luckily you instantly recruit it upon beating it. Still, you got these Pokémon like Lileep who decide to be only in that dungeon and nothing earlier than floor number 80.
