Makes sense to me. I don't think Jessie nor James would really want to pick who actually has claims over Meowth. And I don't think I would like the anime very much if Iris had caught him lmao. In fact I can see him just up and leaving anyways since Pokemon can do that (Snivy being a good case here).

Anywho Meowth is saved and it's time for Persian! Maybe I'll not be lazy with the first post this time ahaha.

I think Persian is pretty good, even though I don't want to evolve my Meowth unless it learned Pay Day. I still want my Persian to produce some money in-game.

You've got a point, but given how important he is, I honestly would've imagined him to at least be "registered Team Rocket property" (similar to Wobbuffet and/or any other Pokémon Team Rocket had to surrender to headquarters), except with special privileges due to his intelligence. And I'm sure he wouldn't mind Giovanni counting as his "official" owner, hahahaha.

mmm.... Giovanni is a special case because it sounds like he was Giovanni's partner before Persian came along at least in the original series. But I bet in general Meowth doesn't really consider himself as a 'property' more of an actual member. Or mascot. Or whatever. But since he doesn't have a Pokeball he's still considered a wild Pokemon.

The thing about them switching the names of Golduck and Psyduck is incorrect. Golduck is Golduck in Japanese too and has the name as the color gold is connected with psychic powers there.
