In Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, there's a Bug Catcher on Route 2 who complains about girls not liking Bug type Pokemon. I'm sure it's Bug Catcher Doug.

I can't remember & couldn't find it on google, I'm curious what he said. In Silver, Gold & Crystal they introduced the Bug-Catching contest, they are fun to participate in. ^-^

When you talk to him for the first time, he says "Why don't girls like bug Pokemon?"

If you haven't played Gold, Silver, Crystal, or even Heart Gold or Soul Silver, I recommend that you play one of those.

GSC weren't my favourites, but I did enjoy travelling between two Regions. HGSS on the other hand I enjoyed much more, I just loved how every Pokemon could follow and interact with you!

Hmm, I heard that a lot too. I absolutely loved how the Explorers games had a full-fledged second story after beating Primal Dialga.

I figured PT is more fun when there's more to do, I'm glad to see people are following up on making more games :D

So which do you guys think was the best generation overall?

Best? VI, simply because it's backed by the best technology. However, my favorite would probably by IV, followed by V.

Gen IV is the best for me. I loved everything about the Sinnoh Region, and Platinum is probably my favourite game. I also think Generation IV took the most advanced step in terms of new features, graphical updates etc.

I'm a Sinnoh fanboy too, always loved DPPt the most. I've played through Pearl more times than I care to remember XD

I always loved the music in Sinnoh, especially Canalave City's theme!

Honestly I play with the sound muted most of the time so I can't really comment on in-game music, but the Sinnoh landscape is just far too pretty not to adore.

Do you think it considerably improves the game having music turned on? I usually just have Spotify on instead!

The game feels considerably more natural with the music on, but maybe that's just me. xD
