I honestly find Ash really funny in the first season, he comes off more as an actual 10yo kid rather then a caricature of what adults would consider a good role model for 10yos; although I can see how it would get grating quickly.

Ash Ketchum is quite intriguing to me, whose ideas and self-belief falls in the line of Naruto the kid, but with somewhat different attitude(Although I had not watched much of Naruto). The way he trusts his Pokemon was something which I liked in him, and his creative attacks were nice.

And the new lead characters in Horizon didn't appealed me even a bit, and the way they talk sounds quite ridiculous to me.

I didn't watch much further than the Orange Islands arc. There was the occasional Johto episode. But only when it happened to be on TV at the time.

Pokemon doesn't seem like a show meant to binge. It's more like a show meant to be caught on TV weekly or occasionally.

I tried to watch episodes in succession and the Team Rocket stuff exhausted me quickly. They appeared every episode.

Some people say that cats have nine lives, but in my case I can say that I have two lives; one which I am living in reality, and the one which I am living in this forum. Hence I am getting aged with each passing day in both lives.

And coincidentally I am born in 2023, as per the birth year which I entered out of curiosity in the Forum !!
