The amounts of money paid for transfers in football is insane. Probably pretty overkill in the NBA too.

I saw an example that used shoes vs. houses. It's easier to have something that is universally used and doesn't require constant reevaluating. And money is that constant.

And paying money to live is, sadly, the best we can do at the moment. It beats having to fear the environment being out to get us. But of course it comes with its own problems. But that's a trade of most people are willing to take.

I'm somehow still playing AS. Finished the game. Finished the Delta Episode. Completed the shiny hunts I wanted. Won master rank on all contests.
And then I randomly decided to try and get as many ribbons as possible on my shiny delcatty. Was actually hoping to finish it today but nope lol

All ribbons in regular Sapphire? I'm not sure that's even possible. There was a limit on how many Poke blocks you could feed a mon in RSE. Iirc you could at most do 2 contest categories, if you made your block perfectly. You lack enough points for the 1st part where they show off the mons if you're contest stats aren't maxed out on Master rank, from what I remember.
In ORAS there's no limits so you can just have 1 mon do all categories.

Atm I'm just sitting around waiting for the now 3 remaining daily ribbons from ribbon girl. Figured I'd train up a mon or two for the Battle Maison. Spent all day getting Latias and Raikou ready. I don't see my mono normal type team winning a 50 streak at that place, especially since the chattelaines have legendaries for the 50th battle.
I can get 2 ribbons there though... 1 for beating a 20 streak and 1 for a 50 streak. I feel like the 20 one should at least be possible. Gonna be trying tomorrow.

Ngl I'd rather not but if I'm gonna be sitting around waiting anyway might as well give it a go and see if I can get 1 or 2 more ribbons onto my cat :love:

At least I think I pulled it off. It may be possible without all the stats at max. There's also different scarf items that boost a certain stat, as well. But I do admit that that's ages ago. Around, maybe 20 years at this point. ^^"

Just started playing Cave Story again, yesterday. I bought it on steam a long time ago and even beat it at the time. I also discovered that there's an open source implementation of the game engine. So, I can play the game without requiring steam to be installed.

By that I mean Cave Story+. The original Cave Story is actually freeware and thus can be downloaded without need to pay.

It took multiple attempts, but I successfully beat one of the Battle Chatelaines for the 20 streak ribbon with Latias, Delcatty and Raikou.
I'm not even gonna try the 50 wins ribbons. All it takes to lose is facing the wrong opponent at the wrong time or some hax from the enemy. (Faced a Cacturne that only Sucker Punched when I attacked and conveniently always went for another move whenever I didn't, for example... yep got wiped by a Cacturne lol).

What have you thought of it so far? I remember enjoying the game, although looking back I wish the story was more fleshed out.

I'll get my last ORAS ribbon tomorrow for Delcatty. Already went and sent her to X so I could grab the Kalos Champion ribbon as well =P
Currently hunting Synchronize Ralts in hopes of a decent nature to sync onto Terrakion as an option for the Battle Tree in gen 7.

I was wide awake until somewhere after 6 in the morning. Then must've dozed off at last and woke up just before 11.
Idk why... it was just like my brain didn't want to sleep and kept going off on various things @_@
