Scorpion 🦂 stings are much more potent than mosquitoes, although it's mosquitoes who are the responsible for most human death by a living organism.......
I usually keep mosquito repellant roll-on with me and apply it on my skin when going out, as it is hot for most part of the year.
My mom likes Harvest Men spiders. So we end up with massive clusters outside (and some inside) because she doesn't mind them accumulating. I've just learned to ignore them.
The spider in my room left a couple weeks ago. I had to keep the window open for long periods so it must have escaped at some point. Which means no more spider to get rid of the bugs. :(
I had two jumping spiders in the kitchen that I was leaving be because they catch the flies my parents are letting inside with how long they keep the door open.
Sadly one of them offed one of the jumping spiders and the other disappeared. Potentially no more auto fly catchers for the time being.
I was going for the nightly walk with Watson and Tess, and noticed someone crawling on my hand. I could tell they were a Spider when they started lowering themselves from my finger with webbing. I helped them to the side of the street and then continued the walk.
Since we live in area surrounded by forests, hence finding spiders are pretty easy and they make their visit once in a while. Some spiders are useful, like Common Housefly Catcher.
But I guess Orb Weavers are common here around. And they make big webs hanging in the air, and sometimes we might collide with them during night !!
The forum I used as a child had a game called 'Photo Wars'. Someone would post a photo, the next person would counter it, and so on. ice, fire, water hose, giant pair of scissors. It was one of my favorite things about that place.
I tried making it here and it never took off. I suppose because there's more of an effort to search for photos and it doesn't fit the generally quick nature of this forum. Ah well.
Like, the thread @Roni made about haiku's and replying to each other with them. It was fun but took some effort. It died off fairly quickly.
An owl I can hear
It sings loudly this morning
Why does this owl cry
