I don't care much for religion. People are far too dang eager to abuse it to commit atrocities.
This is pretty much my view on it, I don't mind people believing in a religion; but faith is far too often abused to justify people's already existing prejudices.

I just think it's sad when there's clear scientific evidence that certain things were different. Yet, people are not acknowledging that because it contradicts their believes.

I'm currently reading a book that actually talks about this "human centric approach vs universe centric approach" of thinking. Religions are human centric approaches because they revolve around what people want to happen. Meanwhile science is a universe centric approach that tries to figure out the rules that led to what we have around us.
Well I personally believe the earth is only thousands of years old instead of millions, and that dinosaurs did live with humans, but were hunted to extinction after the flood due to people seeing them as evil. Perspective is a funny thing, but we all have to remember everyone can have them and not to judge others solely on belief alone.
I personally like the "Discworld" type of interpretation: Dinosaurs didn't exist. The gods just hid some bones because they wanted to mess with archeologists.

It doesn't even have to pertain to scientific evidence. Genesis in the bible literally states that humans had lifespans that went above 1,000+ years old. (grandpa lives to 900 years old and has children that all live to 1,100 years old, who have more children that live to 800 years old). So I don't understand how the theory of earth being 2,000 years old began. It contradicts things that were directly written in the bible.

I think it's fun to question things and read into different theories, but that museum I visited really baffled me.

Yeah, it's quite strange, isn't it? I think the earth is maybe in the 300000-50000 year old time frame personally, Millions of billions of years just seems way to long for it to make sense to me really.

People do have issues with large numbers. Normal people don't encounter bigger numbers in their daily life. So, it was never really relevant to them. I don't expect many people to be as insane a kid like I was when I tried to see how many infinities you can stack on top of each other (theoretically). xD

The way we got to our current 4.5 (or 4.6) billion years is because scientists found a really old circone. It's one of the oldest gems you can find on Earth, developing over billions of years.

That video is cute.

Reminded me of the start of 'The Cat Returns.' Just started rewatching the movie. Thanks for the recommendation, Meggy. ^^

I love all animals, so back when I volunteered at that local no-kill animal shelter I would always leave late after my shift because I'd be too busy paying attention to all of them after I'd finished the work. THEY'RE SO CUUUUUTE!!!

Tess is currently on my her bed making noises in her sleep.

I used to be neutral on dogs, but my work made me dislike them. The moment I come across a dog while working they will growl and bark and if not on a leash try to bite. Actually got bit a couple times by the mutts. I do occasionally come across some good boi dogs who just want to be petted, but they are a very slim minority compared to the other kind.

If you like dogs don't take a job in delivery. The vast majority of the mutts will try to attack you. :sadwick:
Also don't trust their owners. Ever. "My dog's harmless." - *has the dog in question hanging from his leg 10 seconds later while it bites me* - "It's never done that!"
Suuuuuuuure..... With all the delivery people at work from all the various companies your dog magically never bites anyone, but just randomly decided to bite me.... ***** please =P

So yeah cats ftw. Dogs aren't even on my radar for cute pets.
