Things are going quite decent, but I also agree with what @Zeostar explained. Many threads could be merged into one, as there is/are visible overlapping of idea(s) in Off-Topic section. I prefer sophisticated approach, hence I want to add that rather than adding tags to separate the type of the threads, it will be better if those threads are grouped/split into the different tabs according to which tag was used.

Because seeing the pattern: Serious-AMA-AMA-Celebration-Important-nothing-Serious-AMA-etc looks too much cluttered to me. So if the threads are grouped according to the tags they are bearing, then the general user can accordingly navigate into the desired section comfortably. I guess this kind of grouping is clearly visible on the Linux Forums.

Wish I had time to actually check out those AMA threads. I very regularly skip Off topic completely during my browses due to lack of time, let alone have the time to read all the stuff in even one of those AMA threads.

Off Topic seems to have waves of AMAs semiannually or so. The previous one before this current torrent was in December 2023; one person will do one and everyone else hops aboard the bandwagon, only for them to all finish and they virtually disappear for 6-10 months until the next wave.

Starlight just casually spreading AMA to other sections 🤫

I had to get up early today for an appointment and then to work after. Didn't get to eat 'breakfast' until 17:00 after work @_@
