I heard they're going to make a Toy Story 3 coming out sometime next year?
Although I don't want this to ruin it's amazing reputation, I doubt it will. It's been so long since they released the last one, this one has to be good.
It's on for 2010.

At this point I think they're making it more for the fans than the kids, considering how long it's been.

Woah, they're still making that? I thought it was canceled like, 5 years ago. Not that I mind, it looks interesting. I just wonder how many people will see it, since it's been a while since Toy Story 2, lots of people might not remember it :x

I like the cartoon-ish disney movies, I'm not the biggest fan of Pixar. Mulan, I've always loved. And Ellen is hillarious in FN, I watch her show everyday. XD

Sadly, I think the age of traditional animation for movies is pretty much dead. Disney has one more movie of the type coming up, but CGI's all but taken over.

I don't really like CGs that much. 2D movies have always been my favorite.
If Disney had something it needed to stop, it'd be making pointless sequels to everything ever made. e_e The real Walt Disney said when he was alive that he never believed in sequels and never planned to do one for any of his movies. Guess what. Bambi 2 60 years later?

That movie was dumb D:
I loved the original Bambi, and they made us watch Bambi 2 in Spanish for Spanish class, from what I understood it was hard to watch. I miss the original ;-;

The only thing I hated about Bambi was that the mom dies.
The mom always dies.
I know it's part of the story of Bambi but still, in the majority of movies, the mom dies. Connecting to last topic, Hey! Nemo's mom dies!

It was a DTV sequel though, it probably would have been if it made it into the theaters, which I think we're all grateful it didn't.

You know.... you're right... not only movies but anime as well. The papa is still alive yet the mother died.... wow, I never really thought about it. XD

Yeah, almost all Disney children have parental complexes. :( I think Mulan had a mother though.
I somehow doubt they had full-blown Oedipus or Electra complexes. I could be reading just a bit too much into it, though.

But... she still had both parents! XD

Also, The Lion King had a living mother, but the dad died, so I'm not going to count it. Still parental issues.

Disney movies are so sad in that way ;;
So much death for a kids movie. Anyone notice they were over the death of their parents in like 5 minutes as far as movie time goes? ._. Long term depression's a no no for Disney, no grieving process for Bambi >[

In The Lion King, the father dies. Moofasa, was it? That used to be my favorite movie. I heard I watched it so much the tape broke. :x

Psh. Poor Simba cried for a long time and then his dad was in the sky. ;___;

Mufasa, yeah. :(

I dunno, don't they usually pan to like ~months later~ or something when they do deaths? Or I dunno. XD; So much happens to the poor kids that they can't keep their mind on it the whole time.
